Rear wheel ballast/sandbags in ZL1?

Is there any point in placing a ballast in the rear portion of the ZL1 to improve traction when accelerating? Or is ZL1 already balanced for the best possible traction?

Have you gone WOT?

She squats and scats like a stuck 4K-lb SC-piggy

...well she does chirp thru several gears and if it's cold like NY, suggest waiting until it's a little warmer.

See threads about our tires...not good under 40 degree temps.

The ZL1 already has pretty good weight distribution. I think 53/47 if not a touch better. So on a 4200 lb car, that gives you almost exactly 1 ton over the rear tires, which happen to be a foot wide. For all that adding weight will do to improve traction, it will probably hurt it just as much because its harder to get the added mass moving.

It didn't change a whole ton compared to an SS, but iirc, actually improved a hair...due to that heavy differential out back (and LOW ).

Any traction you might gain would be counter-balanced with slower acceleration due to added weight.

The car is already nearly 50/50, and the MR lets it squat pretty good in the back....I don't see much gains likely by this.
