How to trade in your car for a new car

So I want to trade in my 2011 camaro LS for a 2010-13 V8 with low miles but i don't know if i should go to my bank for a pre-approved loan or go straight to the dealer? how will i go by trading in my car?

Best way is to get a pre approval from your bank. Then find the car you want, work out the best deal you can, THEN introduce your trade into the deal. It's the only way to get a true price on the car you are wanting and how much you are getting for your trade.
Don't be afraid to walk away. There are thousands of used SS's around.

Pre approval loans generally don't have a set APR but if you ask for a VIN specific loan for you'll get a concrete APR and whatever many months your looking to get financed. I choose that route instead of a pre-approval car loan.

Sometimes car banks offer lower interest rates, just all depends.

The best thing to do in your case is to speak directly with your dealership's finance department. They should be able to assist you with this.

The best way to do this really depends on if the dealership you are looked at is a "fixed" price dealership vs a "haggling" dealership, if it's a fixed price dealership - bring your trade with you, it will be easy follow all the numbers, whereas with haggling, it's a different animal.
