Someone post a better hi-res pic please. One which clearly shows depth of field and the actual size of the Range V8 product.

I would like someone to do a fairly accurate real world test, to see how gas mileage is affected...

Anyone game?

Thanks in advance.

Any idea on delivery time to Tampa?

Mine took 2 days from Colorado to Seattle. Best $200 I could have spent on my car.

I'll take a picture of it when I get home tonight if you really need one, but it fits in the palm of your hand. Very small. Insignificant even.

Maybe a picture with both your knee and the device to see how much clearance you have, lol.

Being a big guy, I am a little worried also about my ham hock sized leg not whacking the device every day.

It's quick, especially if you get your order in before 10am. Couple days, max.

You want to watch a video of the display that just says V8 all the time? I'm happy to do that - but it will be a very boring video.

Slow speed cruise...

On my way home last night, I took a road that had some pretty good hills so I could test a scenario to confirm the AFM was fully disabled with the Range installed. Approaching a long (1/4 of a mile or so ahead of me) upgrade of probably around 25-30 degrees from horizontal, I slowed down to 35mph and set the cruise control. The SS took the hill in stride with all 8 cylinders clicking. No lag. No downshift. No ugly exhaust sounds. It was great.

Also, as forty5th requested...

I unplugged the device when I got home and will drive without it long enough to make sure the AFM "performs" as intended. Stand by.

I've got a different review for you guys from a non L99 owner (me)...

I'm so glad for you guys to be able to comfortably get around this AFM bs...For me, it's great news for all Camaro owners to finally enjoy their cars for what they are supposed to be...Enjoy!...

I would have put more consideration into buying an automatic V-8 Camaro, if this product would have been available at that time...and may do so now and in the future....

Quick note. It works as advertised. Palmer did a great review so I won't do a full one. One test I did that the range engineers might not be too happy about.

Drove the car with the device installed in a known condition where AFM always seems to kick in. Sport mode - steady speed of about 45 mph. AFM did not kick in. Reached down and unplugged the device fr the obdII port. AFM kicked in shortly after. Convinced this does not modify the stock ECM parameters for AFM.

Good job Range. Thanks for this product!

I will certainly recommend it to others!

Yeah - we don't recommend that test, but I have done it hundreds of times. According to our engineering folks, there is about a 1 in a million chance of something going wrong.

Yeah, cam62, good test. I'm not up on automobile computer electronics, but it seems to me it would be BEST to plug-in and unplug this device only when the ignition is fully OFF. Voltage spikes, etc., can do nasty things. Again, maybe it doesn't matter but that is one test I will NOT be doing. Thanks for the info though.

Great feedback... please keep it up, especially the early adopters.... mid to long term use for key data & results.

But again, to reiterate, please don't do this.
