If you want to think you have the baddest Camaro out there but can only afford one, get the ZL1, want a daily driver you can track, there's the 1LE. Concerned about looks, buy a big standard V8 model and customize to your hearts content. Just want to own a great looking car, consider the V6. Really GM has everyone finally covered and there's still bitching?!?!
I think alot are bitching bc they finally got the car they been dreaming off and its going to be to expensive for the majority of them.

I'll say what I said before - I'm not a fan of the hood vent. I know why it's there now - but I still wish they executed it better. I've liked the front fascia treatment all along, the taillights look better with a professional pic and not what we saw on a SD broadcast (proper lighting and all that).

Throwback to 1969 - that's what they are aiming for and I will agree, they hit that mark. The car is honestly a race car you can drive on the street. Buy on saturday, race on sunday.

They've done good in the mechanics department. The car just needs a different hood and it would be perfect. I'm glad they brought back the Z/28 - I'm on the fence about the fact that the car still weighs in @ 3900lbs (the ZL1 is 4100 - 300 = 3900lbs).

Still a pig - but the LS7 will help with that a bit. Still. If GM plans to keep the Camaro Z/28 moniker alive through to the alpha platform, I think that I will be choosing that route. We'll have to see...

I believe 4100-300=3800 haha

I have a Challenger, but I wanted to come over and congratulate you guys on getting some awesome cars from GM. First the ZL1 and now the Z/28. Seems like at least GM listens to you guys and brings to market products you've asked for.

Wish I could say the same for Dodge

Meanwhile at Dodge design HQ

You really don't understand the purpose of this car, it is a pure performance car, not just another gadget-filled driving appliance.

In either case this car is one I can't wait to become intimately acquainted with. I'll say it again, way to go GM.
Agree. If I didn't already have my Boss I would seriously consider this... the new Z/28 is a track winner and we haven't even seen the real world #'s yet!

I wonder what would happen if Chevy put a square setup on the ZL1. I bet it would make up some time between the Z/28 and it. I know it helps the M3 gain a couple seconds on a track...

its pretty damn dear square already...... the small difference in size wouldn't be too noticeable.

Well I have read thru this whole thread and agree with alot of you guys on all levels. For one Im glad the Z/28 is back wasn't expecting it this soon...... kind of surprised its being placed over the ZL-1 but ehh what ever. Over all I like the look somethings will take a little time to get use to but Im sure will grow on most people. The one thing I do know is I am already starting a stash of $$$$ to get those seats for my Zl-1 those are a must in my opinion . Only if I could figure away to afford to have the Z/28 to park next to my ZL-1!

You are right. My only WISH is to have the LS7 that's in the Z28, an option to have in an SS along with the 1LE option. Having an option like that would make a lot of people change brands.

love the seats, love the front end with the splitter but those tail lights are hideous. Nothing like the 10-13 when you're pulling up behind it and chin drops kids get excited when they see it. I would pass that up--"...oh a Honda shaped like a Camaro!" *snooze*

everything else on the car is a step in the right direction. Seems like Chevy is going with this similar tail lamp design on most of their lineup. Gosh they look awful, this really made me love my car even more. lol

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

I don't quite agree. The ZL1 is a Hot Rod, the Z28 is a road race car. Dont expect the ZL1 to go down in value , they are two different animals. A ZL can be an easy car in the city, the 28 will make you pay dearly for daily driving.
