Hey Ofer, You can use my car to do a retrofit in since I am not that far from you. I also have the 2011 Camaro manuals, and I write killer DIY's. I'll PM you.

I tried to retrofit a My Link radio in my 2010 SS, but I realized it'd be too expensive for the correctly needed parts and labor.
so I found out it'd be much cheaper just to buy a ZL1 and call it a day! lol J/K

Subscribed!!!! I want the mylink sooooo bad, but I also like my IBM. So trading it in is out of the question. Fingers crossed and hope this works and can be retrofitted!

I've thought the same thing...but I would give my IBM up for a AGM ZL1 though...

So I realized my car I got last week doesn't have PDIM or Bluetooth for phone. If I plan on seeing how this is going to develop should I avoid upgrading those? I also don't have steering wheel controls.

I would just go ahead and get a PDIM. It's easy to install.

My question was in relation to this thread as it seems like a new onstar module is going to be needed unless I read wrong for the Mytouch install. I don't want to be double dipping on mods. I'm pretty sure it'll be safe if I add steering wheel controls and the PDIM but was unsure about the phone Bluetooth with onstar. Last edited by Pagliaro; 04-10-2013 at 07:13 AM. |
