$1500 for parts?

Sorry I posted this already in lfx but no hits yet.

So I have been doing some research through here. Looking on youtube and similar set ups and came across a budget of $1500 that I'm looking to spend.

Here's the list.

Cold air intake. CAI. Rotofab. K&n. injen.
Headers. Can't do
Exhaust. Pretty dead set on mrt v2
Anything else?

Are the brands on here possible for the given amount?
Please give me some suggestions. Money is not really an issue thanks to my 60hr a week job but I think $1500 seems reasonable excluding shipping etc.
I've seen quite a bit of mrt v2 and MBA shorties that produce a pretty low rev which we all like.

Yes and no. Let me explain. You have a 2012 which means you have the LFX engine. In the LFX engine, the exhaust manifolds are integrated into the heads so you can't modify those. What that means to you is that you can't put headers on the 2012+ cars. Also, I don't frequent the LFX section much but last I heard there's really only the CAI intake and the Rotofab intake for the LFX. Either way, CAI is a great intake and would be my choice since Vararam hasn't developed their intake for the LFX. You've got exhaust down so you're good there. You're well within your budget there. If you want to get more power, you have the option of doing the SOLO high flow cats for the LFX. They will free up some power and are the next best thing since you can't put headers on the LFX.

Yeah I started to notice a trend with the headers there lol so much for that. Thanks for the insight.

Despite not having headers, there's more pros vs that con. Lighter than the LLT up front, better fueling, a composite manifold that already keeps the temps cooler versus buying spacers like the LLT to keep it cooler..

I'd do the CAI with a scoop to get more air pushing into that intake. The scoop will require more work and some trimming I believe, but worth it.

SOLO high flow cats and MRT exhaust would put you right at the budget limit if not a bit over, but as mentioned earlier, the high flow cats are the next best thing to full headers performance wise.

Not sure if you want to tune your car, but a tune on top of all that would make for a hell of a good running LFX. I'd say a good 360 crank HP.

Yeah & add the waterbottle relocation kit too for a bit more boost in HP (I assume the waterbottle is the same? )

Awesome was thinking about throttle body as well. Also noticed the trifecta tune. Is there any other tunes anyone suggests?

Forgot about the throttle body. Thats another good one.

As for tunes, you can look into IPF as well for a tune, but if possible I'd contact "Matt @ FSP" on here. His shop is actually located in Florida, just not exactly sure where. He has tuned several LFX engines so far with great results.

Very cool. Is there any order I should be doing this in? I was thinking CAI, exhaust, TB first then maybe deal with the tune last.

Yeah...if your looking to spread this out a bit then that is a good place to start. Then save up another grand, and get the HFCs and tune which should be a big power boost on top of the existing mods.

Matt @ FSP is located in Bradenton, FL, just South of Tampa.

IPF tune on an LFX, should see some decent gains. Should see some more gains if you have an auto as well.
