I picked up SimCity. The always online connection is annoying if you get disconnected or if you cannot log into the server you use the majority of the time, but as of now the problem isn't as bad as I've been hearing.

I have 2 cities currently and having a blast as this is my first SimCity game.

My only complaint is that the boundaries for some of the city zones seems too small. I wish there was a way to expand the boundaries.

They will allow for bigger zones once they have more stable servers

First, the following is something that can get your account banned through Origin, I'm thinking.

However, someone just found a way to make the game play without having to authenticate with the servers. It also allowed him to add roads & perhaps other stuff outside of the city boundries. So it does look like that could be expanded later. I am also disappointed in the city size.

I was still playing in the one you invited me too. Was just going to invite them to the Pandora region you made. Are you playing another?

I wasn't planning on buying Sim City for this reason, just like I passed on Diablo III. I shouldn't have to be online to play a game like Sim City. It should be an option, or local w/ sync like you suggested. But I hate that I have to rely on always having an internet connection, and then rely on their servers being up to play it.

2000 was the best imo. If this one is anything like 2000 id consider purchasing it. Havent seen enough game play on it to decide.
