Sometimes road noise is a result of a high performance tire. The softer the tire the higher the noise.

Could get a harder less performance based tire. Will defiantly change the road noise.

Oddly enough, sound has completely gone away as more miles were put on. By 2000 miles it is completely gone. Never changed anything....just went away.

It's a super high performance tire, and a shitty goodyear one at that, I'd say it's pretty normal.
