Should have got a catch can. Your engine may be all gunked up.

Aside from the car being on the low octane table, or sub-optimal shifting, I can't see how a 350Z would take an SS. Most likely explanation is that he was modded a lot more than he appeared to be. The V6 should be able to take a 350.

Off topic, however if you don't have a name for your car, red bull kind of fits

^^Thanks but its not my car, just the same color with the same stripes haha. On a side note, I was on a closed track earlier this evening and got handled by an m5. It was unpleasant.

That's the great thing about owning the V6. When I get spanked, I can always say, Hey, it's a effing V6, whatta ya want?

After you do your headers, CIA, and tune the dyno run will tell you where you are at power wise...that's nice to know when you are concerned but it feeling "weaker"
Those are definitely plans for down the road... but I daily drive this thing.. not wanting to make a monster out of it. I was only a bit confused because I'd pulled stock Z's several times easy. But this one definitely kicked my ego right in the nuts.

Z's have a lot of potential. Turbo, supercharger, high revving n/a. They have a lot of aftermarket support for each of these setups. If you heard no whine or bov i'm guessing he was setup for autox or just built n/a for fun.
