Can this be made with a gunmetal/graphite frame (to match interior plastic trim) with smooth black grips? If so, can u pm me price and how i would go about purchasing one from you? Thanks!

Edit: probably shouldve asked this first..but will this work on v6?

Smooth black grips are no problem but I will have to see what's available in color's to match the plastic trim, this is the first anyone's asked about it.

It does fit the V6's as well.

After thinking about it, I did do one with a grey frame, there is a picture of it on pg 20, post #483

While machining some of the components is when the idea came to me. This idea will allow the use of the same basic components and more importantly the same tooling and fixtures. If it does work as I think it will I will offer them already set up or if someone has purchased a shifter and then decided to try this it could be done at a reasonable cost without purchasing a new shifter. Keep in mind if it does not work I probablly will not design a new one from scratch.
Are you still developing a ratchet style shifter?

I'm not working on it any more, because of how the stock shifter works it would complicate the design beyond reason.

If by the hump area you mean the shifter bezel these shifters work with the Hurst plate or with a manual boot.

Got the Pistol Grip Tap Shifter installed and it works GREAT!
Thanks again George for making sure what I ordered was what I wanted.
(Not always the same thing, right?)

Do you offer the manual boot?
How difficult is it to match up to the auto stick?

I sometimes have manual boots in stock, depends on timing and stitch color. To convert to a manual boot is quite easy.

Spent the day in the machine shop working on coil mounts, while I was at it I did some more prep work on shifters and started powdercoating a few for inventory, from here turn around is 1-4 days depending on color choice.

So the time has come that that I had to sell the Camaro. However, my loss is your gain. I have shifter for sale (along with the permission to post in this thread by George).

If you search this thread for posts by me, DSchnack, (or go to page 33 in this thread) you will see the pictures of what it looked like installed.

If you are interested, please send me a PM.

I also have a new center console with the gauge cluster that I was going to modify to match the shifter, but I never got around to that either.

Thanks!

Daniel

Hi all.

Haven't been updating this post much as this time of year I am swamped at the shop but I do have a few shifters in stock and a few ready for assembly with your color choice.

I also have most of my other products ready or close to ready and will update those posts accordingly.

Glad to see you sold your shifter Daniel, they don't come up for sale used much but when they do they don't stick around long. AC, hope you enjoy it, let me know how you like it

Is there some place I can go to see your other products?

I thought I saw somewhere in the previous posts that you were considering a T style shifter? Any further development?

There is no further development on a T handle. The design would make fitting switches and a mechanism to release the shifter very difficult to fixture and machine so unless I see a real lot of interest I may not pursue it any further

Everything I make is here on C5, most likely the only place where everything is mentioned is in my build thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170726

Some of it I offer, some I do not, if you see something that interests you I can let you know.
