on your profile it says you're in Alpine, NJ. I live in Bergen County also and I can tell you that the difference between Newark and Alpine is night and day (to say the least).

sorry to hear about your wheels. I'll bet my next pay check that the security guards are probably in with the retards that stole your rims.

take it from me, you'll never see those wheels again, even if you search the local body shops. Newark is a war zone, I'm a NJ State Trooper and I work in Newark.

my best advice to you is MOVE OUT OF NEWARK ASAP.

I disagree I like the stock wheels. The only thing bad about them is they are on most Camaros..

Sorry to see this

Same thing happened to me, car was about 3-4 weeks old and to top it off I let the apt complex know and they tell me I have 3 days or they are towing it! Needless to say it got ugly and im not going to share what words were said, I ended up moving into a house with a garage a few weeks after..

Only thing I can tell you is to try and make the best out of it.. talked to the insur guy that came out that happened to be a car guy also and was just as pissed as I was, talked to him into cutting me a check and got me a set of forgeline rims

Id also invest in some gorilla locks from Apex

They are probably not considered high-end wheels that will be fenced...

They will be sold for scrap, so the hypes can make a few quick bucks...

Scrap ? I don't think so.
A new of factory tires & wheels is worth $500.00 to $800.00 any day of the week.
Not bad for 20 minutes work.

There are so many sets for sale on craigslist around me that it would just be hard to find them even if they were posted on CL

Sorry to hear that, I really am. It happend to me, too. Took 2 months to get a new set of tires. Fortunately they gave me new tires and since the car was beached on rubber there was no damage done to it.

Id suggest not parking near streets if you can; that's how they noticed your car probably...or it was an inside job. The young security car buffs(?)

If it was an inside job i don't think the fence would be torn like that though.

Maybe the eldery guy had something to do with it. Cause OP said the young boys (security) watch the car like a hawk. Then all of a sudden ole head comes in and this happen. They could have stage the fence to make it look a certain way. I don't trust no one

Eh, could drive yourself nuts trying to blame somebody like that...lol...

My guess is the Escalade was the main target, op's wheels were just a bonus that presented itself at the time....

Just by looking at the graffiti in the background, Gorilla locks would be my first mod. Sucks that this happened OP, but I definitely wouldn't have solely relied on security in a place like Newark to look after my car. Step your game up.

Sucks... Hope the bricks did not do to much damage to the bottom of your rockers. I keep telling myself to get the wheel locks.

I would love to know they stole the Escalade (assuming they had no keys)
