Well, I got the recommended Gorilla set, but the GM wheels are silver where the lug nut wells are and these lug nuts don't cover the entire area where the nuts hit the wheel.

So now I have a silver ring around each of the black lug nuts on my black wheels and it looks like crap.

Anyone have suggestions for black lug nuts that are the same size around (or maybe a hair larger) than the GM locking lug nut kit?

RS_in_TX: I would recommend the same set as above. The key is just like any other socket. I don't know what they would be referring to.

Am I looking right at this? If I wanted to get a 4 pack in chrome, I'm pretty certain the Gorilla part number I'd be looking for is 71641N. What I see at Apex is 71641NBC (the black version of what I'm looking for), and 61641 Gorilla Guard Locks (with the spinning sleeve). Is the 61641 set all you offer in chrome 4 packs?
Also, regardless if I go 71641N, 61641, 71643N, or 96643C, does the hex size of the Gorilla key match the lug wrench that came with the spare tire kit for my car, or will I need a new/different lug wrench too?

Does the black lock system for stock wheels work on stock ZL1 wheels?

So I put on the 96643C OEM style locks today. I have the 20" Midnight Silver RS package wheels. I think they look great!

In case it helps anyone else in their decision, I've attached a couple of photos showing how the polished chrome OEM style locks look on the Midnight Silver rims. Obviously, the locks are not Midnight Silver, so no, they don't match the paint on the wheels, but to me, they do absolutely look like they belong on the rims. The hub cover is not Midnight Silver, it's satin chrome with polished chrome accents, so the polished chrome locks look like part of that scheme.

If anyone would like better photos, PM me, I'll see what I can do.

Are the "Camaro OEM style" a smaller outside diameter than the stock lugs? Do you know how closely the black locks match the finish of the black 10 spoke wheels? And finally, are there any coupon codes for camaro5 members?

The OEM style locks are designed to mimic the stock lug nuts and are very similar is size. Many customers prefer the lower profile "aftermarket" style though. You can run either style on stock wheels. The black finish blends in very well with the black wheels.

I can't say anything about the black finish, but maybe these pictures can help with the comparison of the stock lugs to the OEM style Gorilla locks.

After seeing the difficulty of replacing the 1LE ten spoke wheels, not to mention the cost of replacement, these locks seem like a no-brainer. Order Placed!
