Porsche Sport Driving School in Leeds Alabama is superb, I would recommend it to anyone seeking to learn high-performance driving skills. I've yet to hear if the new SoCal facility will be available to non-Porsche owners (PSDS welcomes everyone), but I would think that it would.

This IS "Over" 500/500

POWER-TESTING THE FINAL PRODUCT
Livernois Motorsports is experienced at building all kinds of LS engines for street
and racing applications. The company likes the LS7 as a wet-sump engine
because it makes just as much power throughout the rpm band as the stock
dret-sump, installs anywhere a normal LS V-8 engine would go, and has incredible
street cred. The wet-sump LS7 is not for customers wanting a track-ready Pro
Touring car—in that case, the dry-sump version of the LS7 is ideal.
Note: Power numbers are all corrected using correctionf factor SAE J607 (29.92
Hg, 60 degrees F, dry air) and testing was performed with the GM Performance
Parts controller (GM PN 19166567) handling fuel and ignition.

Re: patience. Nowhere else on this forum will you find a more patient bunch the the ZEE-lievers...

Re: gearing. Speeds in gears for the Z/28 and the 1LE should be close to the same. The ZEE has more revs, but shorter tires.

That will be a good price to come in at, but i think 10K more or 20K more is likely the rear price, will know more soon.

Motor trend is never on the cutting edge of a new car info and when they do report something it's almost never correct.

I think the MSRP is going to be reasonable for the Z28 but am quite certain that dealerships will mark them up substantially just as they have done with the introduction of a new model. It is for this reason that I typically wait a year or so when purchasing the Camaro model I want. Not to mention that refinements are usually forth coming during this time. Given the number of Camaro's that have been sold, there should not be many refinements.

On this car i dont think you have more then 1 or 2 model years, the LS7 will not be here past the 2015 model, IMO.

GM's been doing the same thing over and over building the perception of value at a higher price then surprising us all with even higher value at a lower price. Examples; ZL1 was guessed to be high $60K's to $70K's, the C7 guessed at over $60K base...
