Looks like we have work to do for the 2014's. They abandoned the beautiful light pipes for a diffuser ring in front of LED's...

I did ask fbodfather about this over the weekend, and, was told that it was how they chose to make them brighter so that they could be used as DRL's.

Forgot to post about how the new features ended up..

Select-a-White: Choose your own version of white, from warm to cool.

QuickColors: Select from several built-in colors easily (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet).

Also, there are now two "favorite" colors stored.

Thinking about opening up the white setting so that you can make it anything at all. Right now, you can choose from ten different whites (warm to cool). This change would make it unlimited.

What is the difference between the solid band halos and the halos where you can see each individual LED I like the solid band much better

Generally, there are stock LED upgrades (like this kit; solid band of light) and LED rings (dots).

LED upgrades just replace the stock, white LED with an RGB LED and can be done through the existing openings.

LED rings need to be installed by removing the front of the headlamp (lens).

Note that there are LED rings these days that don't show dots. These are called COB (chip on board) and are only available in single colors.

Our kit can also drive the new, NightOwl fog/DRL halos! Nice, smooth rings of light everywhere!
