Drove through Connecticut this weekend

I'm from Jersey, and had the pleasure to rip up Merritt Parkway this past weekend on my way to Canton, Mass. We need to find a way to rent that highway for a day! Smooth pavement, flowing curves and sweet-ass hills. I feel like my SS was built for it.

That is all.

Great road but you don't want to do it during rush hour. Also great history- Check out each original overpass, Individually built different from each other and with great care. Improved and updated over the years but it brings back the memory of when America had the funds for such great projects, instead of how we throw away our taxpayers money today.

Yeah love the Meritt! But don't get carried away, I've seen more deer on that road then I can remember at night. In daylight it is fine, but on two separate occasions driving back to Jersey from New Cannan I had to violently same on brakes and swerve. Stupid animals...

I loved that section and agree closing that off for a day would be fun just never gonna happen with that traffic volume. It's like closing off 393 in Concord, NH would make for a fun day of racing up and down but it's to congested for them to let you.

The merritt is americas Autobahn.

Everybody flies on that road, but whens theres a wreck, its usually bad and with only 2 lanes will shut it down for hours. Its a gamble but if its clear it can really shave some time off your trip.
