The Camaro ZL1 and 1LE are currently under a quality assessment review. The assessment involves looking at each ZL1 / 1LE unit still at Oshawa to ensure it meets our standards. After the assessment is completed, the units are sent off to the dealers.

Please understand, quality assessment does not necessarily mean there is an issue with any one or all the cars. It is the plant's opportunity to ensure the cars are meeting and exceeding the set standards before the unit is shipped to the dealer and ultimately delivered to the customer.

I hope this information helps.

Chevrolet Customer Care
Hi Reggie,

Thanks for the info but why couldn't the sales reps or GM customer "ambassadors" give me this information? The fact that I have to get the real answers from a fan forum is strange...

At any rate after 4 tries I finally chatted with a GM customer service rep who "confirmed" that the car was shipped last Monday May 20th (Wasn't that a holiday?) and that it is "on route". According to Google Maps Oshawa is only 4 hours from Montreal by train and by road. It is now 4 days later and still no car. I assume the train/truck has to stop to unload cars and that there's mountains of paperwork to do etc, but still.

GM, if you're reading this. You have a bazillion loyal customers who love your products. All we ask for is accurate delivery times, or at the very least, accurate and up to date information on delays. Come on...

I am stoked I was this lucky. I just about canceled my order and bought a mustang. I really would have if mine got pulled for quality check.

Lol I received an update from both the sales rep and from GM today, and both gave me very different ETA's. Sorry GM but this is F'in BS. It's already nearing the end of May and the 2014's are right around the corner. F this noise. I'll never order another GM again.

So glad I didn't order.

When I went to order in the middle of march our area rep must have had some inside info because he told me it might be June before I received the car........

Look at it like this. Once your cars arrive it will be so well worth it, and it gives you a longer period to download a private offer or additional rebates.

I've never quoted less than a 12 week wait time on any factory order, these things take time. I personally glad they take the time to do things right. I don't want anything about my car rushed.

Nothing is rushed, every car is built the same way. Some are just pulled to check quality just like any other manufacturing process there is. Problem is GM usually pulls sold orders for quality checks, since those cars won't spend enough time at the dealership to fix any problems.

Lol. Sales rep called me today, offered nothing new. Meanwhile, I've got another non gm car dealer with plenty of stock begging for my business.

Sorry GM, but this is F'n BS. I gave you people every possible chance and you still can't track a simple order and communicate it with your sales people.
