I've sat through a few parades and seen people sitting on the back of new Camaro's. Doesn't look like an issue to me... I say go for it.

Sure, and while you're at it make sure she is wearing stiletto heels so that she puts holes in your rear seats. Seriously, I wouldn't do it.

Ummm, ok want to thank everyone, I guess. But please let me set some things straight. The girl is a family friend and her dad the same age as me, so I'm not trying to um date her thats a little sick. I've already told her that neither of my convertibles are parade capable. They think I'm being over protective but the overwhelming "no" responses has confirmed what I thought. I was kinda hoping to show them this thread as proof but really don't think I'll be doing that...
Really wish my old Pontiac could stand idling for hours but it can't. I'm hoping I can find a buddy to take my place. Thanks for the comments, ( most anyway)

Probably , but there are a lot of distraction and other things on her mind.
Her first priority is , do I look good , am I comfortable and so on.
The cars well being might come in #6

Parade convertibles should use a special reinforced "parade boot". Plus the girls' feet will be on your seat so get something to cover the seat bottom.

Bad idea, don’t do it. Family friend or not, I am having visions of damage to the car.

Just my 2 cents.

If they damaged your car would they pay to fix it? Probably not. I wouldn't do it. I had a convertible back a long time ago and did parades and it messed up my retract. Wasn't worth the time and money to repair it to be a nice guy.
