Is it me or does the spoiler on the back of the ZL1 convertible look to be different from the one on the '13 model year? Did I miss something? I don't remember reading about a change to the spoilers on the '14 convertibles.

It's in the hero card information. It says for 2014 the hardtop and convertible models now all get the same spoiler. As in, whatever the hardtop gets, the corresponding convertible model gets the same spoiler. Don't know if the RS, SS and ZL1 spoilers are alike, though.

The chrome piece will come off.... I was able to determine that when I layed hands on the car at Atlanta this past weekend. It snaps in underneath the front facia, so if you remove it, the holes will not be seen unless you kneel down and look up.

So basically just start pulling down on the trim and it will pop out. Theres my DIY for a 2014 chrome trim removal

Thanks for the info. I obviously missed this change. Is the radio antenna still inside the spoiler on the verts?

I have much for you Fbodfather, and I agree with everything you always say...

but you have to tell us how that chrome trim passed through the design team and made it on the production car.

There are things that will grow on people (i.e. the taillights), and then there's the stuff that will become a mockery... the AutoZone special chrome trim.

I just noticed the two different fog lights!! The SS's get the square looking fog light. The V6's get the round fog lights(second to last photo)!!

Thanks for the pics. Need to see them up close myself.

Opinions on looks may be forgotten if the (maybe 2015) SS gets this:

Thanks for posting pics.....I'm ready to see on in person.

That's awesome that they are putting the extended stripe on the cars now but that's probably because they got rid of the mail slot. That's a bigger kicker for people to vinyl around if you don't know what you're doing. I also like the fact that they rounded the edges as apposed to the straight edges a lot of the current extended stripes have. They just should've made them wider IMO.

Still I'm not personally sold on the refresh. I think the only thing I really like is the new square style fog light area with projectors. I'm guessing those won't be HID though. I'm curious to see how they handle the DRL on the non-RS this go around.

The hood....I still don't understand why they made that hood extractor mandatory. Should've been an option or not at all IMO.

The rear....that subject has been beat to death. All I'll say is that the non-RS tail lights look better than RS and I'll leave it at that.

for some reason I didn't realize before that only the RS gets the chrome strip about the grille.

oh my! You should NEVER agree with everything I say!

(...you should hear what I say to Miss Ellen!!!)

...to answer your question: The same way that the chrome taillamp surrounds made it on the 2010-2013s.....which, if you go to any large 5th gen show, you'll see that some black chrome them -- some body-color them -- some paint 'em black..........some paint 'em white..........that's the beauty of a Camaro..........it encourages personalization!
