Has anyone experienced at high rpms going into 5th gear instead of 3rd

Let me know if anyone else has this problem at high rpms. When doing fast shifts at high rpms my car won't let me go into third gear. Instead slides into 5th.i feel the car pushing out of third an not wanting to engage 3rd gear. Was thinking of trying that ideal g master cylinder.

New one on me. I find the shift into 5th from 4th to be a very deliberate shift let alone going all the way from 2nd to 5th. If any thing I've just flat mis-timed the shift and ground the gears going into 3rd never getting anywhere near 5th. Pretty much eliminated all missed shifts with the MGW shifter though.

I think my clutch isn't engaging all the way when car is being raced.thats what it feels like.also since I have a short shifter I'm guessing 5th gear is close by

I've heard of this on the Tremec TR6060 in the LS3. I've never heard of it with the V6 trans though.

My car has always had difficulty getting in third when racing. It got worst with the short shifter.

Had this twice at the track after hot lapping a few to many times. I figured it was just me being stupid. In the same token I was noticing some clutch slipage and had the peddle stick on me once leaving the line. Didnt grind on the 2-3 shift just flat out wouldn't go in. Never raced it again and never had it happen on the street when pushi g hard.

That's exactly what happened to me at the drag strip. Didn't feel slippage but it wouldn't go into 3rd gear at all. Now that I regular drive it . It is perfectly fine. I'm goin to try to do an ideal master cylinder and the gto reservior. It's just a pain that my car is all fixed up and I can't drive it hard.
