Same thing! I remember reading on here somewhere about the MAF from GM. Some were good and some were below standards. I think I have the weak 1 not the strong 1. Does someone sell a aftermarket MAF sensor?

Jet did but it was found to be worthless. The weak vs strong only affects the ss, you could get some MAF cleaner and try using some of that it could be dirty.

I took the sensor out and blew it out gently with some air. It only does it when I sits idle for a couple of minutes. When I first start the car it sounds fine but within a minute or two it lowers the RPM and sounds like it is not running. But when I drive it I have no problems. I might contact Roto-Fab and see what they say. Thanks

Your not the first to have an initial issue. From what I've read they (sensors) recalibrate and all is well in just a few days. It's not use to getting so much air, but it will be fine. Go easy, then try to open her up and after a few rides it should be fine. Also on the hood adjustment Roto Fab tells you to lift the weather stripping up about a quarter inch then shut the hood to get the perfect seal.

Ok, I will give it the weekend and see how things go. If not better I will call them Monday. Thanks

So when you bought your Roto-Fab intake did you decide to go with the dry or oiled filter? Any advantages from 1 over the other?

I went with the dry filter because I didn't trust myself cleaning and re-oiling the oil filter. I think the oil filter performs a little better than the dry filter as far as air flow but I could be wrong.

I prefer and recommend the oiled filter. The oiled filter flow's better and is serviceable and will last longer. The dry filters do filter a little better, but they also flow less and will continue to flow less and less throughout the life of the filter.

Best regards,

You can buy it from the Roto-Fab website.
