I agree! I think I've put in the money and mods to get there, but I'm not interested in giving up my M6 . I have a few minor upgrades in the mail and need to spend some time on my tune (w/Bill) after they arrive. I'm expecting to be around 825wrhp. I'm hoping with a little more practice, i can get to 10.5.

I'm thinking if i can get a 10.5 that a good driver can break into the 9s. The questions is given I don't like anyone to work on my car besides me...would i really consider letting someone else drive it...hmmm.

You know the DA formula to correct your ET time to sea level...I need a calculation to correct my times for my poor driving .

We'll see...i'm at 11.1 with a sloppy run that had boost spike, lean spike & knocking that resulted in pulled timing. And it was close to a 1.9s 60" ...man, if i could drop that to a 1.6 (huge if), that alone would have me at 10.5.

I'm thinking +25 hp, clean tune w/no lean spike and no timing pull, plus moving from drag radials on heavy rims and daily driver up front to slicks and skinnies...is bound to save me 6 tenths .

I'm sure i could shed another 100lbs pretty easy too...remove unneeded seats, the new rollbar i just installed .

I'm far way from 9, but i haven't given up hope...

Did i mention my new heritage grill showed up and is getting painted tomorrow...that's got to be good for a tenth .

Who knows...maybe instead of getting someone else to drive, i'll add a little nitrous . It scares the hell out of me in more way than one, but may just be what i need to see 9s.

I also want to join the 200mph club, but i don't have the right gear ratio...so expect i can get the 190mph club this October w/current gear ratio.

Here's one of my favorite stills from my last Texas mile...in 5th gear, 6000rpm, speedo maxed out

Question Grill color

I hope to get some better pics this weekend... So my original intent was to paint the grill grey to match the stripes. But I was on the fence, and the body shop i brought it to recommended to match the black. I like it, but was hoping to make it a little more differential...

Anyone think i should repaint it to match the grey?

Royal Purple May 2013

BTW, i finally uploaded videos from my last trip to the track. Lots of opportunities at the moment. I just received my RX Super Chiller, my TPiS should be here any day...Bogarts may be a while...may end up w/one more trip to the track before making the jump to slicks...

Yes, it is nice living in Texas for many reasons. Summer heat not one of them, but I expect the rx super chiller to help with that. I think most folks in California hold on to their stock cats when going to inspection. Sorry to hear about your son, I try to keep safe...roll bar, fire extinguisher, etc. and I generally drive sane when I'm sharing the road.

Thanks! I certainly didn't have plans to do it in my first year, but shit happens like an arp balancer bolt snap in the crank and you have to do what you have to do . I have to admit, in hind sight it was my favorite costly mistake I've ever made. . My wife thinks I did it on purpose...

How much did the cradle bushings change the handling characteristics on your ride? I'm thinking of doing it but I want to make sure it makes a great difference.

I made so many changes in a short amount of time I'm not really sure how it impacted handling. Certainly no negative impact.

As I recall, they aren't very expensive. I bought them 6 months before installing. I recommend if you are racing to buy and then wait for a good reason to drop the cradle. While it is down, install them.

TPiS 102 TB

I got my TPiS in this week and installed today...not noticing much difference, but have some tune issues to work out.

The Cold Air inductions rubber elbow for the Whipple is stretched to its limit to fit. I'm wondering if that is still restricting the air flow...

Hollowed Cats

I hollowed out my cats this morning...another PITA job. I thought it would be 15 min or so per cat...took closer to 1 1/2 hours each...another bushing type job.

For some reason I for got to take an after pic, but they essentially look nice and clean in the middle.
