Took the words from my mouth, do some research and how the tune changes. A untouched low mile 97 SS will bring mid teens, a 30th anniv edition SS untouched low mile will be in the 20,s, Low mile LT4 cars have been bouncing around in the 30's the last couple of years. There was one in Reno couple of months ago with approx 4500 miles for 32k and another car in michigan with 10,000 miles for 30 even. Those are the first two I heard about in 1.5 years

Do we truly want to consider these "factory" just because they were a creation by SLP Engineering -- or is the LT4 SS more like a GMMG car? I am not trying to discredit this car (it's amazing), but perhaps some constructive discussion? Just thinking in the context that one wasn't going to find this on an order form like one could select a "run of the mill" SS -- especially in '97 when the 4th gen SS program was still in its relative infancy.

"Daytona Jim" Smith would be a good one to bring into the convo (he's on LS1tech - http://www.daytonapacecars.com/ )

I think I was in the same club as the Michigan car. From what I recall it's now in Columbus. Haven't seen it around here much at all. And the Michigan car didn't have 10K miles, but more like 32K miles if I recall. I'd have to double check with the previous owner. Won autorama or at least placed each time it was brought out of the garage.

TBH I'd snap that one up and change out the fluids, seals, and belts and grab another pair of wheels/tires to drive on. Buddy of mine has a '95 Comp T/A in much the same condition (a hair over 14K miles) as this LT4 and he's got offers of 25K on the car. When it comes out of storage for Gratiot or Woodward people just scratch their heads because it's one of those cars almost nobody knows exist like the LT4 cars. Gotta admit the Mid 90s in detroit were fun times with some factory fun on GM's end.

the lt4 cars were just the last ones built with gms leftover corvette engines. he drove all the value out of it when he put the 2k miles on it. should have left it bagged and alone

The LT4 cars were built on the factory level, Camaro factory to the SLP factory ( neighboring town) and to the dealer. All the mechanical diff parts were thru chevrolet. Chevrolet had control of these cars before reaching the dealer. The GMMG cars were not built in this manner and did not carry a full chevrolet warrantee. There were additional books printed by chevrolet to detail all the changes and differences of the 30th anniv SS cars and The LT4 cars. I am a fan of the GMMG cars, the exciting ones are the 427 super cars and the Dick Harrell wide bodys, but those cars are $80 to $100,000 , not affordable for us common folk

Yes sir Mr Zabo

I do have a set of polished american racing torgue thrust wheels and tires that I drive on.
One more thing in reference to the GMMG cars, not many are hardtops and some are the diff color roof bands. Nothing like all one color and a strong, tight roof which all the LT4 cars are along with manual transmissions only

If only that thing had the houndstooth interior option I know one guy that would again forgo getting a house for another F-body; same guy with the Comp T/A.

Honestly I'd bag it and keep it for posterity's sake. Give it a yearly shakedown. Why are you selling it anyway?

The houndstooth seats were standard, the white leather was a option. Why is anything for sale? for me.... its time. BTW I have had the pleasure to inspect 2 other low mile cars before I bought this one. The other 2 looked like 14 - 15 yr old cars underneath, this one is new. Car was in a climate control room all its life and I have had absolutly no issues bringing this car to life and driving it 2000 miles, perfectly dry

Gorgeous and a fine example of an LT4 car......

Priced right. The LT4 cars just don't come up for sale...ever. When they do, they can sell for pretty much whatever is asked. Especially when you find them not so driven like this one.

Good deal for the collector. Definitely nice.

GLWS!
