I've been on a lot of car forums, and I've never seen a forum this bad before...ever.

If anyone says anything bad about a Camaro or something that needs to be improved (heaven forbid), they jump all over the person, thinking they are saving the Camaro's reputation, which their egos are completely co-dependent with. What really happens, is they make Camaro owners just look like complete a-holes, thereby ruining the reputation of Camaros. Sad.

Fortunately, most Camaro buyers never see this forum.

You just wanted to test drive. It's painfully obvious.
I actually went in with an attitude of potentially making a future purchase and the price and mileage on the SS seemed decent! What turned me off was the attitude of the people there so if I came off jaded in the initial post it was my end experience sadly.

The first salesman I spoke with on the phone was a great guy. However when I was test driving with this other guy it was just a bunch of I don't knows. It really wasn't even the salesman it was their finance manager who seemed offended by me telling him the car had issues.

No but I had issues with the experience. My apologies if I came off like an ass it wasn't intentional.

Well I wasn't even saying the SS was bad at all which is perplexing if that is what people thought. I was saying that the previous owner treated the car poorly which made me well sad.

It's a wonderful machine! It felt good, had that growl I love but Lord if it wasn't thrashed... I'm certain I'd be praising the car up and down if it was treated better and maintained like I'm almost certain we all do here to our cars cause we love them.

This. I belong to many automotive sites. None seem to be as touchy and sensitive as this one. I'm not suggesting that it should be the wild wild west in here, but as they say in the NFL playoffs..."let them play".

I personally don't think that this forum is too bad. The mods do a really good job calling out those who start personal attacks.

Intentional or unintentional the first post had a lot of troll qualities. Take this post, change Camaro for Mustang, Challenger, Civic, whatever, and post in one of those other forums and see what happens. He's trying to buy a used car from a non-GM dealer and complains that the dealer doesn't know much about the SS. Overstates his MSRP by quite a bit and complains about a realistic trade-in value. Test driving a car after only having his for a very short period of time. OP is just having fun but is serious. Not sure how we are all supposed to jump on the sympathy bandwagon...

I don't see much that warrants any "shame on you for replying that way" - spank spank.

And this thread will long be forgotten in a short period of time and the OP will be treated nicely as everyone is around here...
