People are 10x more likely to give out bad reviews when they have a negative experience than they are to give out a good review when they have a positive experience. I usually take the bad reviews with a grain of salt if there are only a few of them. If there are a lot then I take a much closer look at the product/vendor.

It would be useful to have a field for vendor ratings on their accounts at this site like we all have the iTrader rating.

So be careful of who you listen to.
Agreed, and this is why I am not bashing a single vendor, just pointing out an overall observation of things I've seen lately.

Well, either way, they are "good peeps" to deal with too!!!
Thanks for the good words Keith!

I'd say the vendors are pretty good on this site. If they didn't have things for my truck, they knew who did and sent me there.

CAI, Inc. and EmblemPros.com are especially good vendors.

I don't fault the vendors themselves as much as I fault their pricing. I know the 5th gen Camaro is a hot car and the big thing out - but sometimes you'd think the products were built with 24k gold or made from the tears of baby unicorns. I wish I had the ability to make and produce products because frankly I'd have products with realistic pricing instead of just blatant gouging.

My favorite example, without naming names, is a vendor that sells a back-lit LED bowtie for the Camaro for $140. There is an equivalent product for the Chevy Cruze (and unfortunately, it's a different size than our Camaro rear bowtie) and it sells on ebay for less than $20. I'm sorry, but seeing that if it were any vehicle I could get it for $20 REALLY turns me off from spending $140 just because it's for a Camaro.

I always heard people complain about the "Corvette tax" on the aftermarket products, but it appears the 5th gen has introduced the "2010+ Camaro tax" as well.

Well put.

Also gets me when they say "here is my price, but will meet any others you find"......
No give me your best price.

They would sell a hell of a lot more stuff also if they dropped these stupidly
high prices, if they were selling more it would make up for the drop in price.

Agreed - there's a lot of products I'd buy if they were more reasonably priced, but alas they have enough people purchasing the products at ridiculous prices now so what's the incentive for them to come down in price.

There's a lot of lighting mods I'd love to do but I'm not dropping a thousand dollars just to get a FEW lighting mods for my car. Just ridiculous.

Likewise it boils my blood when I see the pricing on the aftermarket high-flow cats and exhaust systems when I only paid $600 for my brand new Magnaflow catback exhaust on my 1994 Camaro and that's including installation!

When I had a true-dual cat-back exhaust installed on my '98 Formula it was $600. Two years later, for the same system it was $1K for my 2000 Formula. I said but John, you only charged me $600 a couple years ago and he said well, that's what I can get now. Capitalism... that's the way the ball rolls.
