2013 SS LS3 1/4 mile times stock

What would the 1/4 mile time be on an LS3 stock ? Would a CAI give any improvement ? Any other external mods useful ?
How does it stack up to a stock 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 automatic or 6 speed ?
Have friends with a 5.0 of each and we plan a trip to the strip to face off.

It's a drivers race on stock cars with stock tires. Sneak to the track and get some practice and you've got them if they're rookies!

It will run high 12's if the DA is ideal and you know how to launch/shift.
'11+ GT Mustangs have consistently been a little quicker compared to stock LS3's. Automatic GT's are especially quick.

My M6 5.0 walked all over my wifes L99 SS when we went. (Some of that may be driver error on her part)

I was Low 13's high 12's all night and she was mid/high 13's. It was both of our first times to the track.

We're going back next week.

I have raced a few 5.0s at the track we where neck and neck they tend to pull a little harder off the line than I did but top end would catch them.

Hate to say it but the 5.0 is faster if both cars are bone stock, no question about it. Sure you might be able to "outdrive" them, but with the same driver in both cars the 5.0 will turn better numbers, stick or auto. I've seen a 100% stock 5.0 6 speed turn high 11's with nothing but a set of slicks on it. I don't know of a stock Camaro SS running in the 11's ever, regardless of tire. With that said, I'd still prefer the Camaro

Friend went 12.8 in his stock M6 GT 5.0, and he is a good driver. You've got a 12.9-13.1 car car there. No idea on 5.0 auto.

Dude, lots of talk here I know, but you might go to the track and run high 13's or low 14s unless you can hook up with those Pirelli's and launch under load. The 13's will come with a good wind behind you, but I've yet to see the real life manifestation of the talk of high 12's in this car while stock.

ran 13.4@107 stock before I started my mods. Hi DA as well roughly a DA of 7200 at sea level should be able to hit high 12's

My Stock time was a 13.23 with 132' DA, added Power Wedge and Solo HFC's and got to a 13.12 with 669' DA and more recently, dropped another .13 with a Haltech CAI and ADM scoop.

5.0 ftw. A buddy ran a 12.6 with his '13 5.0 first time out. Like previously said, I've yet to personally see a 12 anything out of a stock, new SS.

I went 12.91 in my SS when it was stock. Of course, it was like 45 degrees with no humidity outside. lol
