You definitely should've gotten a LS1.....thing would have 500HP by now.

Did you pull the heads and mill them for increased compression on your V6......I don't know how much you can....but the compression is pretty low on the V6s....like 9.5?

By /TC do you mean torque converter? If so what stall did you get? Does the V6 have the same auto trans? 4l60e?

With a cam and converter, you'll definitely have to tune it now.

I like being different.
not pulling the heads. The cam only has like a .512 lift. The 105# springs I plan on getting are good for .595.
Yes torque converter. I plan on getting a 2.2l TC. In the s10 they are like a 2200 STALL. in the 3.8 they are a 3k stall from what ive been reading.

With the cam you probably lost some bottom end TQ...Did your
RT and 60 change? Is that how they say it? I'm not a drag racer.

4l60E is a lot a trans for that motor, but very "tunable". You should remove ALL of the TQ reduction with a tune and it'll be faster, guaranteed.

What gears are you running?

I haven't ordered Anything yet lol. I'm getting my "list" around so when it comes time I'll already know what I need lol.
I have the stock 3.42 gears. After my tune I had with my headers and 3" exhaust I gained around 15hp and shaved .2 off my 1/4 mile time. If I do this little project this winter withe the cam and TC I should be in the 13s easy. My best time so far has been a 15.51. So it would be quite an improvement lol.

Well took my car out driving today, came home, started it back up and it said low oil. So I check it and it barely on the dipstick. So I put a couple quarts to top it off. Now this is the same oil I had in after I changed my intake gaskets in the winter and I have maybe 3500miles since the last oil change. I am going to get my oil changed tomorrow. Anyone know anything that could cause this. Ive been told to look at my rear main seal and my pcv valve..

EDIT:
I think what Im going to do is get an oil change and see if the low oil light comes on. Not sure if part of the problem is that it was sitting for so long.

If its not leaking oil.....then its burning it....if you were 2 quarts low? Which is a lot in a few months.....in XX number of miles.

Check the plugs......


But good to know....crate motor for your car is only like $2200.....goodwrench 3 yr/100K warranty.

Well the oil had technically been in the motor for around 6 months lol. Im getting my oil changed tomorrow or Saturday and go from there

Well dad and I got the header leak stopped on the drivers side and pulled the broken stud out. Drove around for 30 mins and now the passenger side has an exhaust leak.. Going to fix the other side in the next couple days
