I just got a Cruze for the wife a couple months ago. The times that I've had the Camaro in the garage and had to take her car somewhere, I've actually found that I like driving it! It really is a nice little car. Ours isn't loaded, but I got a smoking deal on a new 2012 that the dealer had left on the lot so I was happy. It's roomy, comfortable, and has a decent bit of power. Best of all, everything on the steering column is close enough to the Camaro it really takes no adjustment to drive it. I already know where everything is!

I had 1 as a rental car, I freaking love that thing. I wish I could afford one for myself as a DD. it's a great car. I had 4 adults in it with the trunk PACKED (ladies can't pack) and I was crusing to AC and got like 28mpg. I really love that car. Perfect car for anyone looking for something small and roomy with a bit of push in the peddle.

yea the cruze and the verano are right there between a small sedan and a mid-size sedan...a little smaller, but plenty of room..saw a dark gray looking passat with the 5-spoke rims at the grocery store the other day, really good looking car. going to test drive one in the next few days...anybody have one? wife is wanting to go test drive the fusion again..she really liked it and keeps bringing it up a lot. the ones she has test drove that she is liking the most are the fusion, mazda6, legacy and the cruze. still to test drive are the verano and passat. i love car shopping...

For the Passat I would actually visit a VW website and ask owners about the problems they have had. Motor trend has a 2.5 and diesel 11 models for a year test and 30k miles and had no trouble from either car, so certainly worth looking into.

Hello terry_b,

We are happy to learn that you and your wife are both enjoying the Cruze. We are sure it will continue to be a great experience going forward. Find new roads!

Personally I REALLY miss my G8. If you can find one that isn't too high of mileage (some of them are starting to creep up there with commuters) I would say go for it! My wife would get consistently 21-22mpg combined on the GT model (6.0 L76 V8) and I was able to get 4-5 very tall adults comfortably in it. Very tall being only one adult below 6 feet tall and me being 7 feet tall even with the sunroof in it which cut about an inch of head room out. This car was amazing to own and even more amazing to drive with 355-361 hp (09 or 08). 4 door Firebird I called it. That and you can always get the satisfaction of embarrassing ricers who want to tease "family cars" on the road.
