bad over spray if u dont tape things off very securely and than u have a mess to fix
Overspray can be wiped off with a microfiber, just do it right the first time.
it not peeling off! ive read that if you dont make a thick enough coat good luck getting the stuff to peal off
It can be taken off no matter what it will just be harder. But I guarantee you it will be easier to remove than vinyl. Plus they sell a spray now that will remove it if you make this mistake.
not coating it evenly and than the car looks uneven and weird/poorly done
Then do it right? You can pay a professional installer but I don't think it's very hard if you watch the videos.
now vinyl wrapping ive heard that it can bubble, and if u use cheap vinyl it will rip the clear coat right off the car when you go to remove it. but i know many people who have wrapped there cars with great success and no issues at all
All of those problems are temporary and they stem from doing it improperly. That's like saying a con of vinyl wrapping is that you could have wrinkles and tears in it when that's obviously going to be from poor installation.

Sounds like your mind is pretty well made up to vinyl-wrap. If it's going to be matt, I'd go PD without question. Personally, if I wanted to change the entire exterior color of my car (which I did - had a black 1LT)... I'd just trade it in for the color I wanted (which I did - now have a SIM 1SS). No method of cover-up will look as good as it does now.

PlastiDip is definitely the way to go, but only if you have someone professional to do it. Check out dip your car on youtube and check out their website. The guy does an amazing job and shows you how to do it. Good luck!

my mind isnt made up i just want more input on the PD thats all. because cheaper isnt always better and u get what u pay for 98% of the time. and i just got the car lol it has 1,200 miles on it im not trading it in thats not cost effective at all.

The key is to use good vinyl. I recommend 3M. 3M vinyl comes with an overlaminate already on it. Its like a clear coat for the vinyl. Over years that overlaminate will break down then the vinyl will break down. Its warrantied for 7 years I believe for outside use. Also the prep is important to make the vinyl stick properly over a long period of time. 3M's Primer 94 for all the edges or any deep or large curves will help the vinyl stick.
see thats what i mean vinyl works great it just needs to be good stuff done by a good place. the same can be said for PD but idk it just seems more risky.
