Cool - thanks, Michael! I was surprised they would not put any in, goes to show I should have read the free manual. :-)

Well in two days we will have had ours for 11 months. It turned over 12,000 miles yesterday while driving with the top down. I don't think that one month has gone by that I haven't gotten to put top down at least once. I have enjoyed every minute of top down driving. I don't let other people's top problems effect my use of this wonderful car. If something happens to the top in the next two years or 24,000 miles I will deal with it then...
Keep the top down and the smiles up and enjoy it!

My 2013 2SS vert is at the dealer right now for the 5th bow, but I still love the car ...more so while it's still in it's warranty period.

Now I look at every convertible top, make and model not withstanding. I have seen the same conditions with Mustangs, and their tops seem to be much smaller in area. Point is, some tops are like new, others, not so much. Was at Dollar car rental the other day at the airport in Ohio, they had 6 Mustang convertibles in a row and 5 had perfect tops and one that looked like the cat crapped it out. ha.

6 weeks, 2400 miles, cycled maybe 60 or 70 times. Looks perfect. I wonder if climate has an effect. Here we are dry most of the year. Humidity never above 20% and usually under 10.

I am a service adviser at a large dealer in the Dallas area and the reality is other than a few tops I had to replace early on I rarely see issues with convertibles (or 5gens in general for that matter) I just picked up a 12 SS vert and other than the fact it's quiet as mouse and a turd power wise I love it. I have mine running and sounding right soon enough.

Well here we are over 12" above normal in rainfall this year and got 5" more today, it looked like sheets of rain pouring down for two hours. Ours has sat outside for over a year now and not leaked one drop. Humidity has nothing to do with it LOL.
Here is a Camaro coupe with a little water problem yesterday from local flooding

Me Too!

if I had read this forum first I would never by a convertible!

I believe it is a small percentage that are the loudest with problems.

I bought a 2011 vert. and have had no problems with top yet. (knock on wood).

Wow, and here I was bummed because I got caught in a sudden rainstorm from hell yesterday less than 2 miles from home, with the top down. 93 today so it should be dried out by now, lol. Needed to be cleaned out anyway.

I wouldnt focus on the date....I cant imagine they just stopped using the older roof's they had in the warehouse no matter what they say...

Just keep an eye on it, since the early buyers have fought the good fight, the groundwork is in place. I took mine in with rub marks and they hardly even looked, just took it in and replaced it. so if they do show up its no hassle to get it changed out.

Thanks early vert buyers....

Well mine made it through last winter with no problems sitting outside 24/7/365. So as long as you don't try to operate the top in freezing conditions there should be no problems.

angrybird does the cold weather cause sealing problems with the top, any creaking or rattling in the cold? i am in midwest too, and didnt know if verts react differntly than coupes in cold, and when wet. yes, i can see putting the top down when cold probably not a good idea. and those water bags, as long as dont freeze after a cold rain
