Well here we are over 12" above normal in rainfall this year and got 5" more today, it looked like sheets of rain pouring down for two hours. Ours has sat outside for over a year now and not leaked one drop. Humidity has nothing to do with it LOL.
Here is a Camaro coupe with a little water problem yesterday from local flooding

Me Too!

if I had read this forum first I would never by a convertible!

I believe it is a small percentage that are the loudest with problems.

I bought a 2011 vert. and have had no problems with top yet. (knock on wood).

Wow, and here I was bummed because I got caught in a sudden rainstorm from hell yesterday less than 2 miles from home, with the top down. 93 today so it should be dried out by now, lol. Needed to be cleaned out anyway.

I wouldnt focus on the date....I cant imagine they just stopped using the older roof's they had in the warehouse no matter what they say...

Just keep an eye on it, since the early buyers have fought the good fight, the groundwork is in place. I took mine in with rub marks and they hardly even looked, just took it in and replaced it. so if they do show up its no hassle to get it changed out.

Thanks early vert buyers....

Well mine made it through last winter with no problems sitting outside 24/7/365. So as long as you don't try to operate the top in freezing conditions there should be no problems.

angrybird does the cold weather cause sealing problems with the top, any creaking or rattling in the cold? i am in midwest too, and didnt know if verts react differntly than coupes in cold, and when wet. yes, i can see putting the top down when cold probably not a good idea. and those water bags, as long as dont freeze after a cold rain

Seems to me it's no worse than the coupe I had when it was below freezing. It had its share of creaks just as most cars do when they get cold.
After 3 years of production I don't think I have read of any incidences of water freezing in the bag causing any problems, I think most of it drains out quickly so unless it freezes as its falling I can't see much building up in them.

Mine is a DD outside 24/7 and have had zero problems with w/bag or top in the freezing cold, ice and snow.

itheragtopguy, you have a 2lt which i assume is leather, gauges, and ba stereo.
i am looking at a 2lt vert, 2013, new, and considering just ordering a 2014 1LT vert or a 2LT coupe. the new 13 are below invoice now with 1500 rebate. i wonder about leather in hot weather, but i could get a 13 2lt vert for price of a 14 1lt. what you think. i havent started negotiating yet. a 2014 2LT vert is out of my price range, but i could do a 2LT coupe. i am still trying to deceide if or what headaches the vert will pose instead of just going with coupe. thanks
