We did some testing on a 100% stock ZL1 with nothing but the Roto-Fab intake installed and made a solid 31hp over stock. Mind you, this test was done with the hood up, but I have no doubt that complimented with the Big Gulp; you would see those gains at speed.

Here is the dyno graph:

Just got mine installed and went for a spin. Love that whine.

Big thanks to JDP Motorsports for a hassle free transaction.

Are tunes necessary with the CAIs on the ZL1?

Actually I think one of them being sold does require a tune. I know the Roto Fab and the K & N don't. Can anyone help me out with the one or ones that require a tune?

The Airaid ZL1 intake is the one that requires a tune.

Tyler

Well I finally got around to installing a Roto Fab CAI in my ZL1. It took me a couple of hours to install. I am sure that other people could have put it in much faster. I am going to an Open House at Torq this weekend and will put it on their dyno to see what she actually pulls.

Good eye, yes it is. I understand it is worth at least 4000 HP by itself! JK ! I have had it on for a while now but have not seen any real difference.

I was just wondering cause most folks flip it over on the ZL1 and you've left your oriented just like it is on an LS3. No clearance issues or anything?

...the Roto-Fab CAI is a straight forward design that comes with explicit instructions, is well designed, and needs no modifications performed by the installer. It's a nice kit. No CEL's either. Excellent power gain, backed up by many dyno charts one can find on the web. A+
