new road course setup 20"

just got my road course "square" setup from tire rack and they fit great...wheels are cheap $203 each and tires are toyo proxes r888 285/35-20 $378 each. wheel link http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...wheelModel=Z32 30mm offset and they look fine and clear everything.

I had them heat cycled at $15 each and tire pressure sensors installed.

Nice looking set-up. If you don't mind me asking, why are you not running a wider tire in the back? Just for the ability to rotate fronts and rears?

square setups are typically better on a road course and don't generate as many negative handling characteristics.

But staggered setups help with a launch at the drag strip...and look really good IMO lol

had no issues at all spanking vettes on MSR long course with 315s and 275s and kicks butt at autocross as well.

Looks good.

I'd like to go with a 295 setup on all four corners. Those would require a 10.5" or 11" wheel wouldn't they?

I think 10" like these would be fine but some companies don't want to put 295s on the front due to possible clearance issues.

I like how tirerack puts the weight of the wheel on their page. I noticed the wheels in OP are about 5 pounds heavier than some of the others. 5 pounds per corner is a big deal.

Does anyone know what stock ZL1 wheels weigh?

Edit: it looks like the fronts are ~27lbs and the rears are ~28lbs.

Did you contemplate 19"s, a la Z28?
The black complements your car well. Very nice, an updated old school look.

I like these. Come in 20x10, 23 and 35 offsets for front and rear. Right at $790 a set delivered. No idea on the weight though.

I saw those too...for drag radials I think they would be great too. I got the above wheels because of the 30mm offset so I can use the same wheel front and rear.

Being from VA you must run VIR? I love that place! Only 45 mins from my house. Need to trade my 'vert for a coupe at the end of the summer and get to racing again. God I miss it!

Nice looking rims.

Did you get a chance to use these on track yet? Hows the review with the squared 285 setup?

I know our stock wheels 20x10 +23 285 tires is fairly close about 10 mm from the struts. How many mm you have for clearance on these?
