Got back last night from my Gingerman track day and the fbodfather/Tom Henry gathering! I have to say, if anyone has ever considered trying a track day my best advise is GO FOR IT! You will not be disappointed! After all the performance mods I've done to Big Red it was about time to put it to the test, and boy oh boy he did not disappoint! If you have ever done the parade laps at Watkins you know how much fun it can be. Now take that fun and AMP IT UP! This was absolutly the best day with the Camaro ever, well except for maybe the Finger Lakes cruise we did last fall, that was fun.

The only warning I have is if you do a track day be prepared to be able to stomach your Camaro getting pretty filthy! It's worth it though and it'll wash off! There were about 18 of us from C5 and about 10 in my novice group. The instructors were fantastic and really taught us how to follow the correct line, where to brake, where to enter and exit the turns, and really pushed us to understand the capabilities of these cars! I have to admit, Big Red is WAY more capable than my driving skills but I managed pretty good!

I'll have a video posted maybe tomorrow. Here's a couple pics of what we call Gingerman patina. Disclaimer: if your squeamish about dirty wheels don't look! Especially Spike, you may I hope it washes off! The last 2 are at Tom Henry Racing of some ZL1's, one of which is a 2014 vert, in my favorite color!

Andy, I hope your father feels better and hangs in there for a good long time! Glad you guys had a good time!

Yes it is! This track is very hard on brakes!

Saw a black 2SS with Upstate sticker in the side window sitting on the Cole & Burd Chevrolet, Mansfield, Pa used car lot this evening. I thought that someone traded it in on a new ZL1 that they have but it is still sitting in the showroom. Anybody know whose car this is and what they bought?

No, just some "paced" laps, but still a good time! We still get some good speeds when it's just our group though

HELLO EVERYONE!Had a great time at the Syracuse Nationals this weekend.We had the hotrod there the first 2 days,sunday Linda and I brought both camaros,parked near gate 2.We got lots of looks and questions and pics from spectato,lotsa likes also more than last year.The big news,we bought another classic car friday.1978 Malibu Classic 2dr coupe.All original,light blue w/landau top.See you at the cruise nights!!!!!
