reason i mentioned chrome, on your page for choosing finish it says leave chrome

How does the paint you use on the front bowties hold up against rock chips? Does it chip as easily as the factory paint does or is it more resilient?

its good paint, but....
car going 80 MPH one direction, Rock headed 70 MPH opposite direction,
