ZL1

Taking orders for the new ZL1 Super Chiller, this one is the 30% larger. Under the hood is the same as the SS with a formed aluminum line that just looks like another stock line and no holes drilled or AC lines cut. One water hose will fit a little better with kit all I had in stock was the short 90. 3 mounting holes drilled in bumper bar and some plastic trimmed behind bumper cover. 100% fitment with ZL1 bumper cover and brake ducts.
Same pricing
$799 Street
$899 Competition
$100 for 30% larger core upgrade.

Note it has been brought to my attention that some use a 20 plate core! We use a 30 plate standard and a 40 plate upgrade. That is 50% larger standard with double the size with our upgrade.

Interested. Turbo application. Will this help with coolant temps? In process of buying 160 thermostat and better radiator. Will I have to both to achieve my goal of cooler temps?

This is only for IAT on water to air intercoolers.

Another update from GizmoQ and his XLR V done over a year ago, running 20lb on a North star. This is after 30 minutes driving, people commented about this very sight when he opened the hood after running the Texas Mile!

We are mounting 1 standard Chiller on both sides and separating the reservoir from the left side of H/E. Then adding the reservoir to the refrigerated coolant side of system.

This kit works flawlessly and my IAT2 temps stay at 80 degress in 100 degree plus temps. Ultimately the best bolt on mod for heat

Dave. My updated versions works good. Went to the track last week and it was 88* ambient and my water temp was 40* and my IAT was starting at 50* and ending at 110*. I made 3 back to back passes with 3-4 minutes in between and ran 11.20,11.18 and 11.13 so made the car consistent and no timing being pulled on the big end.

I think am will get you to do a new compressor and the valve replacement for cooler NORMAL operation temps when I come back from work in November and we can get the temps down even more.

Thanks for the Update! That's great for a M6, so close to 10s!

I don't think you guys realize how efficient these pumps are and how much water is moving. I have an upgraded pump but it is rated at 25 gallons per minute. It moves my supersized 4 gallons of water all the way around the system every 9 seconds. If I dump a full bag of ice in my tank and start the car it melts every bit of ice in about 30 seconds....at idle. If I have to idle in the staging lanes for a 3 minutes or longer the "ice water" is back at ambient temp because of the efficiency of the heat exchanger that in this case is warming the water to ambient. There really is no storage unless you ran the system when the car is off. And start the car when you are ready to do a burnout... Don't get me wrong, chilling the system for a few minutes is better...but the entire system is designed to rapidly bring the water to ambient temp and if you supercool it without a load on the engine it is going to be rapidly dissipated....

The only way this would really work like you are thinking would be to completely remove the heat exchanger from grill....and only cool the water with the chiller. But I would have to have A LOT of confidence in the chiller because I know that the supercharger can make a lot of heat.

This system is the killer chiller, it is smaller system and less efficient than the active interchiller so it wont get as cold in temps as the interchiller and this system doesn't bypass the HX, as you said at idle your coolant goes back to ambient well have a look at these temps.

Also note if you were to use an electric compressor this would be possible 100% of the time
That looks really good at idle. That seems to be the time that these systems work the best. I don't know what kind of pump is in that Ford but the stock ZL1 pump will swirl the coolant a lot more than that. The strange thing about his system is despite how cold the water is, the IAT's are just a few degrees colder than ambient. And his engine bay is cold, when he scanned around with the thermostat 118 is the hottest temp he got, make a drag pass or 2 and see what the temps are under that hood, I don't even know if the electric fans have come on yet and if they haven't that is why the water is staying cool, there is no heat and no fans.

I still think the concept has some merits. I may have a chiller eventually and so far as I can tell the OP is the guy to set you up.
