Ok, now the insurance company says they are willing to pay $2500. for repairs.
100 dollars for 7 days rental car, and the rest after the damages are finished.

What is it with Insurance Companies, you have to pay them every year.
And they treat us like left over dog poop

how in the world is this right?

I'm so upset right now, I just .........

You get a commitment to pay the full amount at a GM shop with diminished value, free towing, and a rental of similar quality to your Camaro, and you've got a deal.

...yes, life sux sometimes. Try livin in Jersey with all the crayzees on the road. We have no fault insurance. Every trip is a hazzard. There is always a loss to some degree with an accident here to a driver who is not at fault. Insurance will cover you. Sorry about your car. If the other operator is at fault, and was summoned by the Police, and you are not satisfied in compensation after the disposition of the case, consult with an attorney.

The insurance companies are in the business to make money , that's all there is to it
And no one should be having a dream that their own are different

Yeah, a lot of idiots that crash into cars aren't looking at where they are driving. So I'm not surprised that the dummy didn't see you.

They didn't get rich by writing a bunch of checks.

I have been in your place before. In my state, what the insurance company says it will pay up front and what it will end up paying is hardly the same thing. About ten years ago, my classic car was sideswiped while parked. They gave me 270 bucks for repairs, what a joke.

Around here, a few body shops have begun to take insurance companies to court, because business is pretty bad right now, and they know what the car needs better than the insurance company hacks that are looking at just dollar values. They figure, "well, we do the work, we know the hourly rates and we know the parts costs, and this doesn't add up. We're losing money, the customers are pissed at us when it's not our fault so they don't come back to us, and the insurance company is the only winner. So see you in court."

They document the repairs that were really needed, as the body shop does the work. It's at-risk for the shop for anything over the amount the ins co 'allowed', but then they take the ins. co. to court over it. They cite safety and the laws in which the insurance companies really are responsible for repairs even if they don't like the cost of the repairs, it's in the law. And they are winning the cases. And they are also winning customer loyalty and trust. The insurance companies are seeing some of their BS power destroyed, thank God.

thats sucks, hopefully it gets repaired soon. Almost had someone do the same thing to me the other day, and i have IOM as well. BRIGHT ASS COLOR.. Was driving along the side of a crossover when this lady who was too busy on her phone decided to merge into my lane without signaling or looking most likely. Had to gas it fast before she took out the side of my car.

People seriously need to put down the phones and start paying attention to their surroundings while driving. I keep hearing "the new law is, they are going to start cracking down on drivers who use any kind of cellular device while driving and if caught they will be heavily find"... Well i pass several every second it seems like..Not sure how its difficult to spot people using them. Whats scary is this, this is just on a road with speeds at 25-35 mph. Not saying that at speeds like that it cant do severe damage but for someone to be driving on the highway doing 50-65+ just makes matters even worse for themselves and everyone else around them.

Rant over
