Intake manifold question for FI

Hey all, I'm doing a 416 build with a F1 procharger, my question is what type of intake manifold should I be looking at? My two options right now are either a FAST 102 or a Holly 102 High-Ram with EFI top. I'm not a huge fan of the plastic FAST one but just curious to what others think. Thanks!

Depends on where you want power. High-ram > Fast. Stock is better than fast for a F1. The fast blow apart under high boost.

Stock manifold will support over 1k hp.

Not all of them, but plenty have. Why spend $1000+ when stock intake is fine for 1300+hp. I've seen plenty of fast fail at 20+psi.

Holly hi ram is a great option. I'm not a fan of fast intakes on big power like the f1 will produce

Fast intake is a waste of money for FI. Stock intake or the Holley.

Hi-ram isn't a bolt-on deal. You're going to be losing wipers and cutting the sheet metal on the cowl.

I don't care too much about the hood, I'll probably end up getting a cowl soon so if I have to cut through this one it's completely fine with me.

Apparently he is contagious. No worries as its going back together even bigger and more hp than before.

In a Blow Through application the intake manifold upgrades are not worthy of the cost involved they offer very little if any advantage.

Same with Throttle bodies.

Of coarse we are talking about 1K HP range.

If we were talking 2K HP range my opinion would change accordingly.

Ted.

If you have nothing the FAST can be a good Option but I am sure you can pick up a used one just as easy.

In fact I Have one off a 2013

No, not the hood, the sheet metal of the engine bay where the wipers sit. it has to be removed or the intake isnt going to physically fit.

So far it seems like the Holly is cheaper than the FAST, at least with the prices I'm getting
