to hold this power level if you want an auto you would need to look into a th400 or a glide to do it w/o rebuilding it a lot. 4l80's are great but at this level even they have their limitations.

Autos have clutch packs in them along with other parts that can be upgraded depending upon your goals. That clutch is beautiful! I have a strong suspicion my car will be getting an auto in a year or two...

I stole this picture from another thread. It comes with a PCV setup. Look at the upper left corner near the fuse box. If, for some reason, the one they send doesn't cut it, the mighty mouse can on the car now has done an impressive job. It shined where the RX monster failed.

Yes, it seems Tracey and Rx ****ed a bunch here. I'm running a dual valve monster Rx with the check
K valve removed and its working fine. Just don't want the Rx name associated with my car.

That pic is not showing all of the AGP PCV system. It's a dual can, triple vented system. Pretty nice.

Hey Blake, i just finished reading the AGP kit thread. I am thinking of going with this vs a custom fabbed setup from my shop esp since the lead tech left and went to another shop.

What turbos did you go with...s261? I dont know the BW nomenclature could you let me know compressor and turbine inducer/exducer sizes also T4 housing? What size exhaust from the turbine etc.

When is this setup gonna be complete. Im dying here. I was leaning toward s366 with my big 427.

Bull,
I am going with the S261s. If they were in Precision nomenclature, they would be ~6165s based on my limited turbo knowledge. They have an extended tip on the wheels which lets them flow better than the size indicates. They flow 70lbs/min so each is good for around 700hp each. Joe has my permission to do whatever he wants with the car. We are going to test a .82 AR and a 1.00 AR housing to see which is better. I noticed on AGP's site they offer a Zeta 3.2 that flow 77lbs/min. They would make over 1500 crank HP.

Here is the webpage for the S261s:
http://www.agpturbo.com/borg-warner-...-turbocharger/

I've been playing around the compressor map calculators and I can't seem to find the map for the 261s, a map for the 256s was just about perfect. The first point of reference was just outside the map so the 261s should fit perfectly.

If Joe deems it necessary to go with one of the bigger turbos Ben mentioned in the other thread, so be it. Joe and I discussed my goals and I was told the S261s would more than meet them. My end goal is the same as yours - 1200rwhp. However, I know me and I may want more later on. Hopefully, I can send the turbos in for bigger wheels or just be able to swap in bigger turbos altogether.

I told him I have a bigger engine in the wings and ultimately there will be a 427 or maybe a bit bigger in it and to keep that in mind.

Joe's communication has been awesome and it is wonderful he is only a couple miles from AGP so he can run over there if something needs acquired. I highly recommend contacting him if you have any questions. I am very very glad I went with Joe and CPR. When it comes time for the 9" and an automatic, if I don't do it myself, I will send it back to CPR for the work.

Joe, do I get or even need hardlines for the wastegates?

When turbo size options are restricted, and you are forced into using smaller units that is desirable. I believe that increasing engine size is a huge negative.
All you will be doing is pushing any turbos into even worse areas of their compressor maps.

In these instances, it would be more beneficial to actually opt for a smaller engine so the turbos can actually work better.
Yes you may require a little more boost to achieve the goals, but the turbos will be more efficient doing so, and they will live longer.

Thanks Blake. I think with my big motor and 1300hp goal FWHP. i need to flow about 130-140 lbs/min or 70lb/min per turbo. I dont have access to the S261 compressor maps but i believe the max flow is 70lbs. This would place me way to the right on the compressor map and very low on the efficiency/choke point in my rough estimation.

The 6766 flows 92 lbs each so at a boost of 20 psi or pressure ratio of 2.4 this will put me comfortable within the efficiency range of each turbo on the compressor map. I think the stock displacement of the 6.2 matched with the 261 will be the sweet spot. My bigger displacement is the killer here for me i believe. I am a complete newb however and maybe my calcs are off. I still have my LS3 block sitting in my garage as my spare! Now i know what im gonna do with that.

Hurry and get that thing together!!!!

Im hoping maybe AGP can set up a kit with the PTE6766 units or at least sell me the scavenge/oil pump setup and my shop can use this setup.

Cam is in. Clutch and trans are in. Intercooler is mounted. Ran into first snag- 6 bolt heads wont let the exhaust manifolds bolt up. Joe is looking into getting them modified. After that, just the turbos, etc remain to he installed. Joe is excellent about emailing me updates!

yup manifolds get modified tomorrow, so than it'll be just keep chugging along until we find some other oh that doesn't fit because blake put this super cool badass part no one ever does. ie your oil distribution block above the oil filter... ya we noticed that guy! seriously the attention to detail on blake's car is hands down one of the best i have ever seen on a home built car. hell on other shop built cars too! i was nervous at first getting someone else's built high hp car but damn if they all could only be this well done.

I knew the OEM manifolds would not work since im running Mast 6 bolt heads. I was gonna run shorties. Im interested in what it takes to modify. I know Darth Emma also had the issue and they fabbed up custom manifolds.

I am also running an after market oil cooler with the oil adapter near the filter with the big -12 lines.

You didn't like my billet badass LPE oil block?

Saw the car yesterday. The big black intercooler looked good.

manifolds are modified as of this am. we started on them in the evening yesterday and finished up a bit ago. for a shop takes about 2.5/3 hours for a diy at home i would say 4-5ish depending on how nice of equipment you have.

Nice, i was wondering what i was going to do with my oil cooler. I have an Earls wide 16 row. Looks like yours is about that size.

I have a PM into Ben at AGP about possibly running their Zeta 3.2 which flows 77lbs/min and i think that would be a bit better for my bigger motor.

I'm really wanting to do this only once and from some research i think a bigger turbo would be better. Especially for later goals. NOt sure. I hope Andy at ADM takes this on for me and i dont want to pester him because he is very busy.

Joe, what do you think about the Zeta3.2 while i wait for AGP to hopefully reply. Its been a few days.

Cant wait for the results
