This is the same car I designed the first Camaro Chiller on in 2011 for Turbo99. I removed the entire system and updated everything with the latest design.

This Chiller is 18” long so thats 50% longer than the original 12”, this thing is a monster and requires bumper modification. Nearly every part has been refined since 2011 and is custom made for our application.

Thanks Dave

This is a great picture GizmoQ sent me over a year after his Chiller installation on his XLR V over spun to 20psi.

Here are the 3 cores Standard 30 plate, 40 plate upgrade and the Xtreme 18”.

Standard vs. Xtreme Chiller.

Here is a Chiller I removed installed by another shop side by side with our standard 30 plate used since 09. It appears to be a 20 plate which is 1 of many reasons it never worked.

Many cars have dyno run with the Super Chiller, Turbo99 is my original test car for Super Chiller and now the Xtreme Chiller. Turbo99 documented results with the first Camaro Super Chiller here on C5 back in 2011. I only have one ZL1 Super Chiller installed and its mostly stock, it had one of the RX Chillers I replaced with my kit.

Alssiri has the Xtreme Chiller on order he also was one of my first 3 SS kits shipped for his previews car.

I will look for Turbo99 results they were posted several times but yes its been some time back. Its not really about Dyno results its keeping the IAT low. What tuners usually comment about is doing pulls back to back with low IAT in a hot shop instead of having to wait before each pull for engine/blower to cool down. They tune car with AC on and just let the computer turn off the AC clutch @ WOT.

I know a lot of my old threads were deleted from my previous association, my screen name was STS_ Chiller back then.
Turbo99 results should be in this thread.

OK trying something new, you should be able to view ZL1 40 plate Chiller pics Here on Google Drive? If this works out I may Host my PDF Installation Instructions on Google.
Thanks Dave

Let me know, you should be able to easily view, download or go direct to print! So far I like this for this purpose better than the updated Photo Bucket.

Update:
Yes once opened you should be able to down load the ZR1 Single PDF by an arrow in the lower right corner?

Besides evacuating the AC is this something the shade tree mechanic can do or should you leave it to the pros?

Freon has to be recovered, correct AC oil added, evacuated and properly charged, we recommend an AC technician do the installation. That said at least half of the Super Chillers sold were installed by owners. Only you know if you can do AC work or not. Kits come assembled as much as possible.

One year warranty for Defects in Materials and Workmanship on kit! Prices remain the same since 2011 starting at $799 street to $1099 Xtreme Competition. We only use 2 AC hoses not 6! Actual Camaro installation pictures and endorsements are all over this Forum.

Here you see the first Competition Super Chiller from 09 still on my GTO today. Clearly original ideas, nothing copied from anyone!

Here you can see the first Camaro Super Chiller on Turbo99’s car and the first KB Super Chiller on G200 Pilot’s car (2011). This thread is still here on C5. While these may not be pretty it shows the evolution from original ideas using parts available to where we are now. You see copper tubing custom formed into tube O Ring fittings sweated into the core with silver solder. I still do all our Steel silver solder work but I leave the Tig to Jerry. His steady hand continues to amaze me repairing every thing I put in front of him, not just AC.

I think its time for an update pic of the TrekGTO!

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming orders and continued support!

Condensation on the top mount intercoolers is normal and a result of high humidity. We have seen this since 2010 with the first Interchiller fitted Eforce and 2012 with the XLR V then the CTS V, ZR1 and ZL1. I have seen frost on them, this is normal and won’t get on the track, along with the cold AC lines, reservoir and intercooler hoses it is blown off and evaporates from under hood heat. Only the Chiller and immediate cold lines down low need insulation. Maggie, Whipple etc… with the intercooler on bottom do not sweat like this.

This gives you an idea how the lines would frost up if not insulated from humidity.
