Bit weird, posted yesterday on here & now they have gone.
Anyway, what I said was I only live 5 mins from Hardwick, so I know the area.
A ride through Matlock Bath would be pretty cool if everyone's up for that

Yeah noticed that. Newbie Robin's entire thread has gone also. Matlock would be great (as long as the traffic ain't too bad).

Congrats jules1200 on your New Role of Autumn Meet Cruise Planner.
RickGM did a snazzy Google route Map last time.
Have a word with him on the secret knowledge for that and share back the Route please :-)

If it's a wash-out, we will just huddle and enjoy the Scouting side of it and make-do.
Even if we Camp up in the Cafe or local Pub.

Cafe, AND pub sound good for this time of year. A nice hearty carvery, or stodgy pie.

My vote is yes to a cruise and your proposed route through Matlock looks good. Also think it would be good to meet back up after the cruise rather than the day just fizzling out. So on that basis either back to the hall (which means the cruise could be at any time) or a final get together somewhere near the end of your route for about 1/2 hour which would mean starting the cruise around 14:30.

The route finishes at the Peacock Hotel, (which is actually a pub) but the car park is very large, so there would be plenty of room for us all. I thought it would be a good last stop where we can all carry on talking the usual bollox, have a beer & even food if some want. It's then very close to all major routes, M1, A38 etc

Aha! Now you've thrown a pub into the mix, WITH FOOD!, beer and bollox, I think you might be on to something. As Rick says, it'd be a shame just to disperse from a cruise without saying cheers properly.
