wastegating centrifugal

I'm thinking I'm going to try this out. I know the tune will have to be checked for low end timing maps...but that's a short drive and a phone call.
So...I know Padre has done it...who else? I'm needing some gate size suggestions. I was pondering a Tial MVR44. I figure pulley the car down to 12-13 psi (3.12 pulley) but use a boost controller to limit it to about 10.5/11.
I like the stainless parts in the Tial and the v-band connections for sealing.
Anyother size or brand ideas that have been used on an intake tract? (I plan to dig on Yellowbullet too...seen traffic there on this)

I have one and its a fairly simple concept. Im not currently using mine to control boost at the moment but you dont ened a boost controller to control boost. You can can utilize whatever # spring you want to use to bleed pressure at the desired boost level.

there are benefits and cons to this. The benfit obviously that you are building faster quicker and limiting the top end but this is at a cost of parasitic loss and adding additional stress to the blower.

Would the time it takes to build boost be that significant? I mean, could't you just drop a gear on the street? On the track the benefit is marginal I would imagine.

Camper..yeah...I'm watching blower rpm. I can go down a step on pulley and it will live by vortech's specs. parasitic loss...explain?
If I kill it, I'll go to a 2200. .
But in all honesty, I'm going down to a 3.12 and bleeding off above 10.5 psi. Shouldn't bleed off more than 2 psi I would think, I see 10.5 now on a 3.33.

The WG placement is huge on the SC car.. Also dont think you're going to take an off the shelf spring at XX psi and use that.. It will take some switching around.

2SS45th: Yes huge difference. You can run a pulley set for big boost, but use the wastegate to calm down the upper end on the street or track; However the torque will still be there because of the small pulley.

Done a bunch of WG SC setups before...

Here is a 408ci, Vortech YSi, 2001 Z06 that we just did a piggybacked Haltech Sport 2000 EMS with the Tial MV-R. Wastegated boost by MPH or gear. It's awesome. Makes on 11psi ~700rwhp, and then over 900rwhp on the 17.4psi setting. However, this being a manual car it is great for street or track as we ramp the boost in over MPH (Or gear) to control wheel spin from track conditions.

No 2200 fitment for the CW Camaro's because of the ears, you'll need a one off bracket for it to fit (Like Camper has from ECS). However, YSi is a bolt-on

AGP makes a really nice wastegate for a good price. I'm sure Matt could get one of those for you or call AGP direct.
