SuperCharger vs Twin Turbos

I have a 2012 L99 with 4500 miles on it. I want to get either a Maggie super charger or Hellion Twin Turbos.

What are the pros and cons of both? I am very new to forced induction. This is for the street and never the track. Just stop sign to stop sign fun.

Currently I have Long tube headers, CAI Intake, 3 inch exhaust, and 3.91 gears.

Also what is the average install only cost on both?

Thanks!

Maggie all the way for the street. Better power at lower rpms and no lag.

Tough choice!!! There pros and cons with both you cant go wrong witg either aslong as pick a proven setup.. I see you already have headers so ya might as well go sc..... I'm having same debate however I've had whippled and Kenny bell cars before... No complaint on the sc but I'm going turbo cause its something I've never had.

Dont be decieved by all the war stories, turbos, are good on all rpm with the right set up. They draw much less engine and use wasted energy to move them, and produce the most power. Again with the right kit, I recommend the IPS guys, you cant go wrong. I have them. I get 800 rwhp and that because I scared to drive this car as is. Too much power for the street. But it is always controlled by my foot. If you have gone wasting money on headers then stay sc as stated above. Unless you ant to scrap it all and start turbo. I driven both sc and turbo, and i love the turbos way more. Too each his own. Good luck

The Only Way to answer this question is for you to Drive Both with Similar set ups to what you want.

The Supercharger vs Turbocharger debate will never end and there is no 1 better than the other, it is a personal choice that needs to be made by each individual.

We install both and never had an unhappy customer.

Ted.

First of all turbo gets my vote. But beside that, I don't think you're even considering the right parts. I'd recommend you pick from the Whipple or the AGP Twin turbo kit. Because of the turbo efficiency you will make more power at less psi, and it's always much less stress on the engine to run turbos.

What Ted said...My original plan was for a SC but went with the TT and very happy with the decision.
