I run 50/50 on my T/A. Water helps with detonation. Most people ive seen tend to run 100% because that's what they were told or their fuel system is lacking

Got that same link up now. Some great info. I was thinking about running the washer fluid, but that ends up costing more than just getting M1 and diluting it down with distilled.

I run Boost Juice, 51% water / 49% meth. I have the AEM kit and it sucks so my iAT are still up there. Going to get the Alky Control setup real soon.

I used to run boost juice. Those containers aren't air tight once opened so if you don't use it all the first time you open it you may want to transfer to a OJ gallon container. Meth absorbs water from the atmosphere and it won't be 50/50 anymore.

If the AEM kit is not helping the Alky kits not going to change anything. Sounds like you need a bigger nozzle. I use the AEM kit and it will spray more then i need.

100% methanol on all of our cars. At the big power levels the water is pretty much useless, we want the octane. I can still lower 60-80* of IAT (Depending on ambient) with straight 100% methanol, and you have the octane benefits of the methanol. The methanol is your detonation suppressant. Been using the Alky Control kits for 10+ years now on the LSx, their pumps will only handle 100% methanol the way it should be.

AEM kit you cannot run more than 50% mixture. Plus that controller is far from a PAC controller. I use a lot of AEM components do not get me wrong, but for the methanol kits we refer direct to Alky Control as that is the main focus of Julio's business and he is damn good at it

Heres my question on the subject im gonna be at about 725 rwhp and want tthe methenol kit for when im beating on the car a lot or when im at the drag strip for cooling and power my tuner said 50/50 mix. But if I drive my car daily and dont want to be spraying it all the time and u know it has to be tuned for it. So is there a box or a switch that will allow my car to be tuned for it and then switch the tune back to no meth when im driving it?

Stay away from Snow. Get an Alky system.

Run 100% meth. It's the best combo there is for cooling and power. People who say otherwise are either in denial or simply don't know what they are talking about.

100% methanol.

Just an FYI, boost juice is 51% water mainly so they can ship it.

most kits have a boost switch. it only comes on durring boost or aka getting on it. so why would you only want it for track use andnnot street. make it all rhe time and have your foot as the on off switch.

Been running meth for years on my vette and about a year on my camaro. Julio's kit just works. They get daily driven often with long trips. Normal driving it will use nothing. Both cars are tuned off it for the full benefit.

a little late to the party but meth definitely cools better than water. yes water cools, yes water helps with detonation because it doesn't burn. BUT meth cools more, no if ands or buts about it!!

A few years back when were were playing with my buddies Pro 5.0 running C16, 50 pounds of Procharger Boost and the biggest baddest air/water intercooler available. We did stuff no one should ever do!!! Of course we ran ice and water, tried different ice cube sizes until we found the optimum size that provided the most cooling all the way down the track!

Then the last few track outings before we switched the whole project to alcohol injection and no intercooler we decided to try running alcohol and ice in the intercooler needless to say very dangerous having alcohol in a intercooler sitting right next to the passenger but we did it anywase coolest we could ever get our intercooler with just water and ice was 32-35 degrees. With alcohol we could get it down to low 20's, frost all over the intercooler. At the end of our 6.60 passes we were still roughly 10+ degrees cooler on the IAT's.... alcohol for the win
