Going to be doing some painting in the engine bay once the paint gets here in a few days. I havent seen anyone do anything like what ill be trying here, so im crossing my fingers that it will be awesome once its all done.

Will post pics up once its done. Stay tuned!

Appreciate it!! The car took a real drastic turn to more aggressive very quick.

So here is a little update. The paint i ordered finally came in. Heres a little sneak peak, watch it in 720p. Im sure this wont be for everyone, but i think itll look awesome once its done. (Which im not saying what is getting painted yet) Hang tight.

So i took a paint project today that ive been trying to plan out for a while now. I know this wont be for everyone but i like it and im trying something new that i havent seen done before, i think.

So i found this color shifting paint and liked it so much that i decided to paint some stuff in the engine bay. I have still the engine cover and manifold cover to do but this is what i have done so far.

What do you guys think?

This is now after i wet sanded the clear and put compunded and buffed everything out

You take so many pictures! I need to step my game up. That color shifting is a nice offset to the iom and black setup.

So yesterday i painted the fuse box, cai tube and posted what those looked like and today tackled the manifold cover which was such a pain in the ass to pull off. As promised i installed all the pieces back in and took pics of everything put back together. I still have the engine cover to do which im going to be customizing and using the same paint, so thatll be next weeks job. Again, i know this might not be everyones cup of tea but i love it, otherwise enjoy the pics

Heres some shots after i cleared it and wet sanded it all down then applying some compound to buff it out followed by a sealant.

And here is with everything put back in the engine bay, these shots were more in a shaded area

And these shots were in the direct sunlight. The metallic flake is amazing to look at under the sun..

You're highly talented with that shaker can Chris. The car is looking amazing. I love the colorshift paint idea. It's hard to be different with these cars because it seems like everything has been done. You found a way to be different.

Good job!

Great job on the paint Chris, those classes really paid off, LOL!! The chameleon color reminds me of the paint job I had back in the day on my 89 Vette, it was different colors from different angles. DIY=Self Gratification

Thanks Rob, I tried my very best with the rattle can and was quite happy with the result. The colorshift paint is pretty unique and i cant say ive seen it before so figured id give it a go. Youre right though, its hard to be different since everything has been done.
