Picking up a set of CCW 16" wheels with Hoosiers slick. They will fit when I replace my brembos with my stock V6 brakes.

I have a set of 18 inch wheels as backups with hankook ventnus v12 tires, would it help me if I swapped those on for when I went to the track? I am currently running the SS rims with the same tires.

What's the measurements of the 18" ventus. It might help if they have more sidewall

Will do. Picked up the wheels today, they were the wheels used by the Farks/ARH Camaro so hopefully their good luck will rub off on BumblebeeCamaro.

I will post my 18" DR's for sale if anyone is interested. I really don't think they were bad for my car with the NOS but I know the 16's are better.

18s are not bad at all. Just might have been too wide but who knows. Hopefully the 16s work better

Now posted to the main page, Congrats.

DA was 885.

Could be, I tried those and found them to be just to be and heavy for our V6, way more tire than we need.

I would try the Mickey Thompson Drag Radial. Go with the 265/40/18. This is what I am currently using. Get the benifit of a gear change with this since it is a smaller dia. This is plenty of tire for us. I bought the set-up used from a friend who was running a modded SS, and this was plenty of tire for him too.

I have update the list again.

I got your message, and sent you a reply.

Sorry for the mishap.

Hopefully it sticks around this time.

Nice run with your stock set-up.

You can cut even more time by getting a better 60'.

WE have found that those stock Pirellis, require some heat. Do a burnout and getting them warmer.

Should be able to cut a 2.0X time which can drop you as much as 0.4 at the big end, compared to your pass you posted.

I have updated the list and you made it to number 7.

CONGRATS.........

Bone Stock (No external or internal engine modifications, stock tires):

Nice run, plus you beat Dad's time!!!
Remove the intake cover to let heat out of it. You will surprised how quick that intake cools off without it. Inflate front tires to 50 - 55 PSI. As you come down the return road turn your heater on full to help remove heat from the engine also. When the DA falls to close to 0 you will get close to another .10ish reduction also. My stock best was set with -135' DA.

Thanks! Considering my dad is about 150 pounds heavier than me. The weight made a 2 mph difference. And thanks for the tip My tires were 38 PSI.

Look to drop that rear tire PSI to around 30 or even as low as 28.

My tires did not spin, I just need to leave a little harder. And the track was hooking real good, they had pro-mods running. Thanks for the tip
