2014 SS/1LE steering binds in turns.

want to see if any of you guys have this issue as well ...

when coming into a right turn, downshift from 3rd to second, non aggressive but not lugging, go to turn the wheel to the right and it feels like it binds up. it will fight me for the first part of the turn then free up. Like i lose all assist then it comes in. i looked and can't find anything thats rubbing.

Only thing I have felt was a pulse when turning at slow speeds... but that was only during the break in.

You need a trip to the dealer for service.

I have checked around with my GM Dealers and came up pretty empty. The only two things I can suggest is that you make sure the cable connections are secure and to stop by your Chevy Dealer to check for codes with a scan tool.

I looked again and found some 2" TSP's too close to the shaft. apparently the engine moves when coming into a turn.

I'd be careful with doing any cutting/grinding on the shaft. Might be better to put a small dimple in your headers near it. If you grind on your steering shaft you'll create a stress concentration point (AKA weak point) that could break at a lower stress than it was designed to handle.
Putting a dimple in your headers might not be what you want to do but the exhaust gasses can flow around the dimple/dent. If your steering shaft breaks then you are done driving.
Just my $0.02.

ya, it will be on the headers. just need to pull the shaft out to get more room. rather do that then pull the headers.
