Cold Air Inductions Inc.

Bolt on 15+ rear wheel horsepower!!!

Cold Air Inductions - 3.6L 2010-2011 Camaro Intake: $399.99 SHIPPED

Cold Air Inductions - 3.6L 2010-2011 Camaro Intake - Black: $399.99 SHIPPPED

Cold Air Inductions - 3.6L 2012+ Camaro Intake: $399.99 SHIPPED

Cold Air Inductions - 3.6L 2012+ Camaro Intake - Black: $399.99
SHIPPED

Cold Air Inductions, Inc

Boost your Camaro's performance with the CAI Inc true cold air intake. This intake system surpasses many competitors with superior quality and craftsmanship while achieving outstanding performance gains. Peak horsepower gains at the rear wheel on otherwise stock 3.6L equipped Camaro are consistently in the 15 rwhp and 11 lb-ft rwt range.

Intake System Includes:
  • Aluminum Insulated Air Box
  • Air Box lid with 1/4 turn fasteners
  • 3.5" (88.9mm) Ceramic Coated Intake Tube
  • CAI, Inc. Cone Filter
  • Black Silicone Coupler / Stainless Clamps
  • Installation instructions

Filter Boxes & Insulated Tubes

Forget all your preconceptions about how filter boxes and intake tubes look and perform. CAI Inc smashed those expectations, and your vehicle will never be the same.
  • Boxes are .08'' aluminum.
  • 3/8'' thermal insulation on the box prevents heat transfer and keeps the incoming air as cool as possible.
  • Each Air Intake is TIG welded by hand.
  • Clear viewing window allows filter inspection without opening the box.
  • Box opens easily with just a quarter turn for quick cleaning.

After you've installed the CAI Inc air intake, you might notice that the outside of the intake system is hot. Don't fret. That just means the intake is doing the job of keeping the heat outside the tube and not inside it. The aluminum exterior surface on the box reflects the radiant heat under the hood, while thermal insulation adds another layer of protection from thermal energy, absorbing it before it enters the tube.

The tube features a ceramic coating that continues keeping radiant heat from penetrating and keeps the air moving smoothly.

What does this add up to? The air inside the entire intake system flows swift and cold.

What's more, the exterior coating won't rust or discolor.

VMAX Black Ice-Olator

VMAX Black Ice-Olator: $150

This insulator is for the LLT V6 motor (Does NOT fit 2012+ LFX). The VMAX Black Ice-olator isolates the intake manifold from the direct heat transfer from the cylinder heads and also shields the intake from radiated heat from the engine block. With an infrared temperature gun, we saw a 30° F temperature reduction compared to a stock setup. Dyno graphs below.

Other independent testing showed similar gains on a dyno:

+10.5 RWHP / +21.5 RWT at 2500
+11 RWHP / +19.5 RWT at 3000
+9.5 RWHP / +15 RWT at 3500
+20.5 RWHP / +27.5 RWT at 4000
+13.5 RWHP / +16 RWHP at 4500
+13 RWHP / +13.5 RWT at 5000
+11 RWHP / +11 RWT at 5500
+11 RWHP / +9 RWT at 6000
+4 RWHP / +3.5 RWT at 6500
+1 RWHP / +2 RWT at at 6800

No retune needed. As with any mod, battery disconnect is an easy process and will allow quicker adaptation to the changes.

NOTE: This item will fit with the Varam Cold Air Intake designed for the 2010-2011 LLT V6 equipped Camaro. Some customers even reported better fitment of the intake after installing the VMAX Black Ice-olator.

NOTE: This item will not fit the 2012+ LFX V6 equipped Camaro.

VMAX CNC Spiral Ported Throttle Bodies

VMAX CNC Spiral Ported Throttle Body: $150

Fits 2010-2011 Chevrolet Camaro equipped with V6. LFX (2012 V6 Camaro) coming soon!

Unequaled in performance gains and throttle response as well as improved driveability, these CNC spiral ported throttle bodies are the ultimate in computer aided technology that makes all hand ported units a thing of the past. Average gains of 12-16 RWHP. NO tuning needed but even more performance may be gained with good tuning. Your throttle body core must be received back within seven business days of receiving your CNC spiral ported throttle body in order to be refunded your core charge. Instructions for the return are included with each CNC spiral ported throttle body shipped.

How Do We Do It?

From the beginning, our operation was set up to function as rapidly and efficiently as possible. Most of our order processing system is automated which means that an order can be completely processed and ready for pick up within minutes of the order being placed. Unlike many of our competitors, APEX Motorsports is a stocking distributor for most of the brands we carry and not a dedicated drop shipper. This allows us to ship in stock items the same day or next if the order is received after our last pick up. In the event that an item is out of stock, APEX Motorsports has access to multiple extensive distributor networks and can draw on the inventories of dozens of regional warehouses across the country and ship the item from the warehouse closest to you.

APEX Motorsports has another key advantage over our competition. Our physical location. Like Amazon, Zappos, and many other major shippers APEX Motorsports is located in Louisville, Ky. which places us within 600 miles of more than 60% of the United States population. It also places us only a few miles from the UPS World Hub. That means that once your order leaves our loading dock it doesn't have to travel 1-2 days to be processed before being directed to your address. It is done within hours of the order being placed and is on it's way to your door, more than 60% of which aren't very far down the road.

Below is a map displaying the estimated delivery times for orders shipped from APEX Motorsports.

Those thermal pics are cool (no pun intended). I can't wait to get my ported throttle body, washer bottle relocation & scoop (added to my CAI inc intake) & my Black Iceolator installed. Together with my bad azz sounding Borla exhaust Ruby is going to be a very bad girl. Chase you should come down to our Fall Brawl & watch her scream down that drag strip & maybe embarass another 5th Gen Camaro V8 or Mustang owner. At the very least we will have a blast & sound & look great doing it.

Here she is with just the CAI inc, & Borla exhaust (& of course ny Elite Engineering catch can to protect her engine). I wonder how much better we can to with the new mods & cooler fall tempreatures?

I am excited to see your results and impressions. Between the scoop, ported throttle body, and Iceolator you are going to feel and hear a difference. The Fall Brawl is going to be right around when we are leaving for SEMA so it is going to be hard to pull off but you never know.

You will need to clean your filter regularly but the oiled filter are very food. You shouldn't have any issues.

I have a suggestion on your black isolator for the LLT on your disclaimer about not fitting the LFX motor it may be a good idea to add that none is required because the LFX has a plastic intake manifold. Some people are under the impression that the only reason you don't have one for the LFX motors is there just hasn't been one developed for it yet.

APEX Motorsports will not be beat on price by one of the third party drop shippers. We are a CAI Inc distributor with systems on the shelf and ready to ship. If you get a lower quote from one of them just forward it to me and we will beat it!

Oh well, I just sent you an order in any case. VNC ported throttle body (LFX), CAI, Scoop and Washer Fluid Replacement bottle for 20164. I saw the bundle discount in the cart, if you have any sort of military discount, I would appreciate that as well... or you could just have the girl drive the delivery truck
