Talking THEY ARE BACK!! Pfadt Long Tube Tri-Y Headers for ZL1 @ APEX Motorsports!!!

Pfadt Race Engineering Long Tube Camaro Tri-Y Headers With Cats: $1699.99 SHIPPED!!!

Pfadt Race Engineering Long Tube Camaro Tri-Y Headers With Off Road Pipes: $1299.99 SHIPPED!!!

Pfadt Power Products now brings you a race-proven Tri-Y header design making more HP and Torque at an affordable price!
  • NO TRIMMING YOUR ZL1 BELLY PAN
  • TRI-Y Design, 4-2-1 tube merging
  • Makes much more torque under the curve, while still increasing top end HP
  • 1.875/2.125" tube diameter
  • Direct connection to factory X-Pipe and after market Cat-backs
  • CNC flanges with OEM locating features
  • Fully hand-TIG welded on-site
  • T-304 16 Gauge Stainless Steel
  • Fully Brushed Stainless Steel Finish
  • V-Band Clamp connections
  • Equal length long tubes
  • Available with and without Catalytic Converters
  • Full 3" collector
  • Comes with bullet-nosed flange bolts for installation
  • O2 Sensor extenders
  • Cometic Multi-Layer Steel gasket upgrade
  • Exhaust system with Cats is 24lbs lighter than factory
  • Exhaust system without Cats is 27lbs lighter than factory
The Pfadt design takes proper exhaust flow to a new level by pairing non-adjacent cylinders together to create a super-scavenging effect with the 4-into-2-into-1 (Tri-Y) construction. In this system, the exhaust flow from individual cylinder pulses are optimized to suck air into the combustion chamber from the intake. This creates a much more efficient power curve that results in a greater amount of usable torque (called torque under the curve) in the mid-range, while not sacrificing any top-end power for peak numbers.

How Do We Do It?

From the beginning, our operation was set up to function as rapidly and efficiently as possible. Most of our order processing system is automated which means that an order can be completely processed and ready for pick up within minutes of the order being placed. Unlike many of our competitors, APEX Motorsports is a stocking distributor for most of the brands we carry and not a dedicated drop shipper. This allows us to ship in stock items the same day or next if the order is received after our last pick up. In the event that an item is out of stock, APEX Motorsports has access to multiple extensive distributor networks and can draw on the inventories of dozens of regional warehouses across the country and ship the item from the warehouse closest to you.

APEX Motorsports has another key advantage over our competition. Our physical location. Like Amazon, Zappos, and many other major shippers APEX Motorsports is located in Louisville, Ky. which places us within 600 miles of more than 60% of the United States population. It also places us only a few miles from the UPS World Hub. That means that once your order leaves our loading dock it doesn't have to travel 1-2 days to be processed before being directed to your address. It is done within hours of the order being placed and is on it's way to your door, more than 60% of which aren't very far down the road.

Below is a map displaying the estimated delivery times for orders shipped from APEX Motorsports.

I dont see them on the aFe site, all they have are Corvette product numbers. Since aFe now owns/produces PFADT headers, are you saying you have Camaro Tri-Y's in stock?

AFE has not officially announced them yet so they are not on their website yet. We were given permission to take orders and start shipping this week.

1700 for headers!
These must make 100 more hp to the wheels.

On the ZL1 you would probably want to go with off road connection so it would be $1299.99. Either way, +50 rwhp and +50 rwtq at 5250 RPM is a pretty awesome improvement for the money.

Same DynoJet dyno they run every customer car over. Midrange gains are what the tri-y design was created for.

Sorry apex not buying it.
Every well known tuner I've talked to says 10-20 with headers.
If the P's were truly that much power the other brands would be obsolete.
Plus this is a vendors in house dyno ...lets see some real customers results.

Toby, the typical enthusiast doesn't have a dyno at home. They go to a vendor and have it done. There are plenty of other dyno charts out there from when the Pfadt headers were on the market the first time a couple years ago. 10-20rwhp is air intake numbers, especially on the ZL1. With a traditional 4-into-1 long tube header you can easily see 30+rwhp. Even on the Camaro SS. If someone is telling you otherwise you need to consult with someone else who is actually experienced with these cars because whoever you are talking to clearly isn't.

Tri-Y headers are designed for maximum mid range gains rather than peak gains. That doesn't make anything obsolete. It is just a tool for another job. The Pfadt Tri-Ys are ideal for street performance but if you are building a 1/4 mile car then traditional 4-into-1 headers are what you need.

I kindly disagree.
I'm going to stick with sales tactic on this one.
And which one is it now 50 rwhp or 30 ?
Also I need and want high flow cats. And 1700 for headers is just insane.

We are a distributor for Kooks, Pfadt, ARH, Stainless Works, and Stainless Power headers so we do not need to lie or mislead. Unlike others who only make distributor margins on one or two brands we don't have a brand or profit bias behind the information we provide because we can get you whatever is best for your application without concern for how much we make.

I was very clear with what I said. You asserted that traditional 4-into-1 style headers are only worth 10-20rwhp. I corrected you and said that they are easily good for 30+rwhp peak gains. The Pfadt Tri-Y which is a 4-2-1 design creates a 50/50 gain at 5250 RPM on the ZL1.

If this set of headers is not within your budget or you don't believe hard data, that is fine. There is a product for you out there. You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. If you would like to discuss it farther there is a technical forum for that.
