I don't understand this cold weather you guys speak of... lol

Seriously though I've noticed a little decrease in traction when the tires are cool.

What I do is drive sanely until the tires go up 2psi according to the DIC. Then I drive like my usual retarded self.

This ↑↑↑ .

With this thread specifically in mind I ran a little check of my own late yesterday afternoon. Temperature high 40's, maybe 50 tops. TC off. Goodyear Asymmetrics, which may be a little better than the G:2's but not massively so. Yes, it was easier to get wheelspin in 1st gear turning onto the main road from a stop, especially when I was actively trying to make it happen (yes, that could be construed as driving like a moron had there been any other traffic in the vicinity or had the main road been narrow and sloping). But far from impossible to avoid if you're conditioned to drive according to conditions and what they mean.

This is the sort of thinking that people need to have on their mind here. It's sure as hell going to be on my mind at a mid-November track day here in NJ.

Nate - that actually looks pretty good.

BTW, that's intended as a clear compliment , coming from a guy who would only put 285-wide tires on 10.5" or 11" wheels and 315's on 12's or 12.5's.
