Hi all.

Moving along with the machining and should be finished by the weekend as planned. If any one wants in on the group buy don't forget it ends Saturday when I will be moving on to setting up for more strut covers.

Just a quick update. Group buy ends tomorrow so if anyone else is interested now is the time to speak up.

ace6607, floppydisc, I started the prep work to clearcoat the grips, if everything goes as planned the two carbon fiber shifters will ship at the beginning of the week.

Quick update.

Applied first coat of clear to the carbon fiber, should be cured by tomorrow then I can do the second coat. Once that's cured I can assemble them and get them ready to ship, most likely on Thursday.

Carbon fiber shifters are clear coated and ready for finishing, I will be polishing and powdercoating the frames today and will post pictures of both so if you are undecided on flat black or polished frames you can compare and choose.

Hi all.

ace6607 , floppydisc thanks for your patience on these. The carbon fiber are a lot of work and the epoxy resin I use takes 2 days per coat to cure, with 2 coats you can see why they take so long.

They are ready to be assembled once I know what finish is preferd. Here are a few pictures comparing the polished and flat black

Let me know which one you want and I can finish them up tomorrow.

I like that flat finish on the shifter handle.

It's here! Hopefully soon I'll have an installed pic.

Packaging was bulletproof, and this thing feels the same way. It has AWESOME build quality.

Got it installed relatively easy. Worst part was probably telling cord was purple, but the wife got it sorted out. As someone who already drove exclusivity with the tap shift, this thing is the best.

Will upload a couple pics tomorrow.

Good to hear the installation went ok. It's not hard at all but the purple wire seems to be a slight sticking point.

It becomes instinctive to activate tapshift while putting it in gear. It's funny because the only time I "attempt" not to use tapshift is if I am drinking coffee. I say attempt because I still find myself putting the cup in the cup holder when it's time to shift or tapping with my knuckles while holding the coffee.

Where did you go with your new wire? I was looking at the instructions and couldn't follow. Mines too visible right now so I just twisted the wires and taped them until I got a good spot. I could have run it along the far side of the steering column, but I wasn't sure how safe that was and I couldn't find one on the closer side. It was dark though so I'll look at it again.

I didn't specify a route in the instructions as it pretty much doesn't matter as long as you keep it away from anything that moves. Looping it around or wire tying it to an existing harness is fine. When going from the side skirt on the consul to under the dash there is a small bracket that you should run the wire over .That will keep it from being visible.

Looks good.

Were you able to square away the purple wire?

Just got in there and put a flashlight in to see where it shone through. Then I just ran the wire up so now it's good! Absolutely could not be happier with it!

Hello boy's and girls.

Very rarely do these shifters come up used and when they do they go fast so check this out. I have one textured black/polished shifter, it is used but in near perfect condition. I've gone through the whole thing to ensure it functions perfectly and freshened up the polishing. The price is $175.00 shipped, first come first served.

I'm surprised no one has grabbed this, it's a great deal. It was only used a very short while before trade-in and is almost new.

On another note, referring to shifter boots. All automatics that convert to a boot need the 2010-2012 boot. The 2013 -up boots are different and will not work . I know this because the " new help" at the dealership ordered the wrong ones lol.

Hi all.

Had to do some yellow powdercoating so did a couple of shifters, one is yellow with flat black frame and one is gloss black with yellow frame.

I am in the process of replenishing inventory on them and also have a few textured black, one carbon fiber and a few ready for any of the finishes I have done.

I am running a sale on these until the end of the month. Textured black $225.00, various colors $235.00 and the one carbon fiber $245.00

I also have in stock "the ugly ones" lol. Personally I like these the best as they are very comfortable and can be fit with numerous switches for multi-function uses. They can be fit with 1-2 momentary switches and/or 1-2 on/off switches. On mine I currently have 2 switches, one momentary operates the traction control and one my radar detector(not that I ever need it) The switches can be used for a number of things such as nitrous and/or linelock, traction control. pretty much anything.

Hi all.

Haven't updated this much as I've been out of the shop except for an hour or so in the am, fighting off a nasty cold.

I've been assembling shifters at my house and have a decent supply in stock for anyone interested.

If you enjoy using tap shift and you haven't installed one of these your missing out in a huge way. Install is painless if you follow the instructions and takes about 20-30 min start to finish. We Love ours and highly recommend this to all L99 owners.
Get feeling better soon "G" and happy holidays from North Pole :-)
