If you ever want to be scared shitless drive a smart car.... Worst accelerating vehicle I have driven in 45 years. Pulling out you better make sure there are no other cars in sight. I pushed down on the gas and the engine revved up but didn't move for what seemed like 2 or 3 seconds (may not have been that long but it sure felt that way).

Not that I would pick GM because they make great cars these days, but why put them on this poll if you're just going to call someone a troll if they do? You also have Mitsubishi on there twice. I take it that means you want to sway people to pick them.

Airbags are not supposed to pop during a rear-end collision.

I have two Hyundais, both over 90+ miles and still going. Yes there has been a few setbacks with them but what would expect out cars that 12 year olds.

Honestly I could point out faults with every single brand on this list. Including GM.

thanks, she is a lil banged up, but will be fine. had to take a week off of work to recover

Why is this?
my mom hit her chest on the steering wheel pretty bad, Im sure an airbag would have helped

as for my aunt, she hit her head on the column of the passenger side
which has the airbag sign, so I'm guessing it would have been better if she hit an airbag as well

Because when you are hit from behind, the first thing that you hit is the head rest. After that, all the impacts are usually going to be far less severe than if you hit something head on.

However, hitting an airbag is a pretty severe event in and of itself. In a rear end impact, its not hard to believe that it would be worse than hitting a plastic steering wheel mounted on a collapsible column. During a regular front end impact, the airbag is there more to protect you from the windshield & dash that the wheel.

The answer is in physics.

Glad they will be ok.
Instead of the airbags I would be more worried about why the shoulder harnesses didn't catch them sooner.

Owned 2 Toyota's and will never do so again. Easily the worst cars I've ever had. This is my first GM and I'm pleasantly surprised how much I like it. Owned more Mustangs than anything else.

I voted for Toyota their cars are nothing more than appliances with no soul.

They also let their quality slip in their quest to knock GM off the top rung a few years ago and now its recall after recall.

Mistusbishi without a doubt. they have been the least reliable I have owned followed closely by GM. My Dakota is going strong with 215k miles on the clock.

Maybe I had a lemon base model. Rented it in Holland and drove it in Germany for two months. I never had a fear of pulling into the left lane to pass on the Autobahn like I did in this car. It was an automatic and it didn't shift sometimes unless I let up on the gas and reapplied it. It was a nightmare. Glad yours is treating you well.

Pretty sure Juke has a CVT. That might've been why it didn't feel right to you.

Sometimes, you need to bait them. Is Mitsubishi on there twice?

I think as hard as it is to buy a bad car nowadays, this is mostly going to be a "im a chevy guy so I hate fords" kinda poll.

most everyone makes great cars overall, there are always a lemon here or there, but for the most part cars are solid nowadays.....
